not a bad deal if you got this for $20. game was fun. played quite a bit at release but havent touched it much lately. for whatever reason, i can no longer accumulate favor points no matter how many games i play online. after they reset the favor in a patch im stuck with the default starting amount about of 300 or whatever. i never get more and can thus never buy anything beyond the two or 3 cheap items that dont help me much. i got used to playing with a certain item and had to re-think my strategies since. it feels like i have to play with a handicap. it sucks.

I got my 20$ out of it from how much I played it. After they released the patch that broke the stats tracking even more than it already was, I pretty much gave up on the game. I actually got into the League of legends beta recently haven't tried running it yet though.
The game could have been huge if it was properly developed and released. I get the feeling GPGs screwed over stardock pretty much forcing them to release it as it was so they could focus on Supreme Commander 2. It's possible stardock was the one that forced the release, but from the effort the CEO puts into quelling the community I'm pretty sure it was GPGs that dropped the ball.

Erebus is top tier in this game. Online has been fixed and works much better now.

The current ranking, IMHO (100+ games under my belt) is
Erebus > Unclean Beast > Sedna > Oak > Regulus > Rook = Torch Bearer > Queen of Thorns.
Erebus is pretty much unstoppable. If you are playing against a team with Erebus and you don't have one on your team, you're in trouble. He's been nerfed a few times, but they've just reduced his strengths. He simply doesn't have any weaknesses. Unclean Beast is as tough, but doesn't have the minions that Erebus has, and therefore a bit lower in tier. Sedna can't deal damage but can soak it up like no one else. After level 10, a proper Sedna can sit in combat forever. Oak has a bit less durability than Sedna, but has great abilities. Played well he is a match for anyone. Regulus has range and speed, as well as extremely long range attacks. Supporting a team, Regulus can use snipe to kill weak opponents and his mines are very powerful. But he is not durable and lacks in direct damage. A poor Regulus player is utterly worthless. Rook and Torch Bearer have obvious weaknesses that can be exploited. Rook is very slow. TB is very fragile. Both of them can be overmatched and killed quickly unless the player is very aware. The Queen, sadly, is just awful. She only has a few good skills and they're often overmatched by other skills. Her best skill, shield, is pretty much useless by level 10 when your opponents will be dealing more damage than it can deal with. Her direct damage skills are too weak against enemy demigods, although they are great against minions and creeps. But that's just not enough. Only a very skilled Queen coupled with a good team is viable.

demigod was actually pretty good, but i think the lack of diversity is really was killed it - there's basically only one way to build a character and there were only a handful of characters. the skills/spells themselves were well diversified, though.
it's not like in LoL where you can have AP, AD, Tank, or ASPD builds all for one character (some obviously more viable than others based on the situation)

I've played you plenty of times (20 games+) where you stacked your team. Never lost a game against you though 🙂

Yes I did lose one (can't believe I did). I played a rook (only handful of games out of 10000 games I played), Scoring 85 on the losing team against your 90 shows how terrible you were.
Your teams were clearly stacked with Kitty and Andy, who are my friends, who also happens to hate playing with you...ironic eh?.
Did you beat any games against Nana at all? I usually play my best build with that account.
ba294 account has low % win as I play with anyone, whichever term the host sets to. That being said, I still think that was the only game I've lost to you over the last 2 years.
Learn to play with the pros, not just against noobs and with a stacked team. You'll learn a thing or two.
