I find the most amusing part the sheer number of people who have no clue what they are doing when playing online. My last two games were something like 15+ kills, 0 deaths, random assists, with the other team getting absolutely obliterated.

Maybe I should stop playing Rook, he's just stupidly OP atm.

all depends on who you play. a good Regulus (archer guy) will give rook huge problems.

i got steamrolled by Regulus/Beast last night, where my team was Beast(me) and Vampire

Perhaps. Maybe I get unfortunate enough to always be stuck playing people who are clueless, but my last 5-6 games have pretty much gone something like this.

Eh I can see if people are just going online from the get go they would get crushed. I'm going to need a month before I take that step :D

It would have been nice to have even the smallest of tutorials to point out the basics of game play. That said the game rocks!

I just played a couple skirmishes to get the basics down and learn how it is different than DoTA, then I played multiplayer. You can't really prepare that much for mp by playing singleplayer. The more you play the more little things you learn though. The ranking system will be reset shortly, and custom games aren't counted, so the only thing you can lose is your ego atm.

Yeah that's how I'm learning how to play and reading a few forums for strats.

You're right though SP never prepares you for MP :)

I assume once you go online your character starts to level again like in SP tournament or do you start all over from match to match?

start all over match to match, but you keep favor points and favor items. The favor points have a tendency to be buggy for some people though, myself included, where they go into the negatives and it takes a while to get them back into the positive. I'm almost broken even again but I have the one favor item I want already anyway and I always use that one.

I'm sorry, but every at home router is 'set up like fort knox.' As far as I'm concerned, I shouldn't need to DMZ my computer to play a game..especially when I have roommates in the house that I'd like to play with online as well. Port forwarding is a hassle too and..ugh, to be honest, I think this is one of the main reasons why consoles are 'winning.' I rarely have to DMZ my 360 to get games working with my friends...each time we try to play stuff on PC we have problems.

Not exactly true, I had to mess around a bit to get LittleBigPlanet patches to even download then I had to mess around a LOT more to be able to play with other people online.
