That reminds me of my time with the Eskimos when a bunch of us got drunk and somebody challenged me to rape a woman and wrestle a polar bear. I vaguely remember stumbling back into camp demanding to know where the woman was they wanted me to wrestle.

So, why is anyone shocked that someone concluded that increased economic/geopolitical instability would cause a rise in the world's oldest profession? Climate Change can most certainly lead to the former.

Climate Change --> Increased instability in economy or geopolitical relationships.
Increased instability in economic or geopolitical relationships --> increase in prostitution.

Therefore, by the law of syllogism (applied by a layman), you have the quote from the OP/title of this thread. Climate Change --> increase in prostitution.

I know logic can (and should) be applied a bit more carefully here, but lets mock the "absurdity" of the statement instead of addressing its merits (or identifying its lack thereof). 🙄

What Lee offers is that we should take such considerations into account as we plan future relief efforts as required. If the deniers are right, we won't need to do anything anyway. They're so sure that they don't want anybody making plans in case they're wrong cuz Merricuh! or something.

Of course the righties are going to attack this. It talks about aiming to resolve two issues they are completely against. Protecting the environment from the effects of climate change. And protecting women. If there's any two issues that conservatives are against, it's those two.

Why should I protect women from something they willfully engage in? Or are yuou saying all women are too stupid to make their own choices, and we need to figure it out for them?
