Marine Force Recon?
Most people have never heard of them though. I was on a float once and watched the Force Recon guys punk on the seals for fun, it was pretty funny. These guys are like finley tuned maniacs.
Force recon is the only elite unit not under Socom, because socom is a central command, considered to react "too slow". They are pretty much on thier own level.
within 48 hours of Sept 11th the US already had forces in Afghanistan. It wasn't the Seals, or Delta force, or the Rangers. It was Force Recon
ding ding ding BS fact makeruper alert ding ding ding
wow no it was not...it was actually a team of CIA contractors (notice I said contractorrs) who contained all former delta force members...then it was contingents of Seal Team 2 and also Seal Team 4 if IRRC...the green eberets were actually much more heavily envlolved in afgan. because it is more of their specialty than deltas...
Go read the book Hunting the Jackal, and SF in Afganistan, a goverment published book
LOL they don't publish the actual after action report in the journel
AND has it occured to you that other things may have not been declassified!
