I disagree. Every other company in the world ships things out right away, or there is a small wait. I dont know of another company that will tell you to wait a month. It's rediculous, business is not done that way. Even before the internet, you made an order by phone, it arrived maybe a week later. A month is insane. The supply and demand problems are their problems, not mine. If they have so much more of a demand then they should increase their supply. It's just a Dell problem.
 
the discount part was a joke with them and I knew they were going to say no. Even if the did give me a discount, i still would of canceled the order. I might get it cheap, but like they say, time is money. A months wait is insane.

the ship notification thing is a seperate program... thats the other thing everything is a seperate program and because of how much money rides on them they pretty much refuse to do anything but tack on something completely seperate, so now its just a big web of ugly programs...

as for being out of stock... lots of companies go out of stock on sale items all the time... dell just has more sales and more items then most...

OK, I emailed Customer Care. Here's their reply:

I apologize but we cannot expedite your order. The status of
your order is currently still in the process. Because all of
our systems are custom built by request, we make sure all our
systems are tested and built in good condition. We do appreciate
your patience with regarding this matter.
Once again, I apologize for this inconvenience. We value you
as our customer and your satisfaction is very important to us.

They're "building" an Axim? Sheesh...
 
we'll strangely i've had nothing but good experiences with dell (knock on wood)
bought a laptop from them last year, hard drive crashed 3 weeks ago on a sunday night, received the replacement harddrive the very next evening and they gave me a shipping label and all so i could call airborne express to come pickup the dead hdd
quick and painless
 
Want to get really pi$$ed, do a search on eBay & look @ all the Axims, some of the "Buy it Now" prices are pretty cheap.

BTW, the warranty is transferrable...

Either you are truly dense, or you did not read what I posted.

You are purchasing a PHYSICAL item. These physical items require production, they cannot simply replicate them or let you download it. If they have no stock, they can't ship it. When demand exceeds supply that means there are no units to ship. Axims have been backordered practically from their release, do you realize how many they have sold?

It's really not that difficult to understand.
