How many of you bought it? and How many of you bought it at the evening, Nov. 26?

If you bought at Nov 25, 26 ON LINE, you probably will get troubles to get your rebate money back.

because the order date on your PACKING SLIP will very likely be 12/??/2002 as mine, you will not be
qualified for most rebates (qualified only for the order date on the packing slip bt 11/21~11/26/2002)

 
I ordered on Nov 26, and my order date is 11/26. The ship date is 12/02, but I don't think that matters.
 
The key thing is the ORDER DATE on your PACKING SLIP. Did you get your package?

This is what the Dell customer-care person told me
 
I ordered one and I highly doubt that Dell would do something as underhanded as that. I haven't seen the packing slip myself though. I'll check it when I get home on Sunday.
 
Not a hot deal. I wonder how many of you who bought it will be totally screwed by dell though. They are good at screwing large amounts of people at once.
 
If you ordered on 11/26, received a order acknowledgement on 11/26 . . . then you have proof that you ordered in time. You will be qualified for ALL the rebates. Nothing to worry about here folks . . .
 
I received the package. Order date on the PACKING SLIP was 11/26/2002, even though ship date was 12/2/2002. Nothing to worry about here.

the CSR of Dell told me the only valid one is the order date on your PACKING SLIP. (Pls check the pdf rebate form)
 
I bought mine at 6:30pm PST online on the 26th. My packing slip had a purchase date of the 26th... no problems.

For those that have problems, call Dell. Someone on the chubby wallet posted that they called Dell because their packing slip had the wrong purchase date on it and Dell told that person that they would take care of the rebates and not to worry.

I am not worried about the rebates at all. As long as you really qualified for the deal and you purchased it on or before the 26th you will get your rebates. Dell is a reputable company and isn't out to mess anyone over with this... for those that think Dell is going to mess everyone over I would like to see some proof of prior bad customer service from Dell...
 
as long as your order date is correct your fine, which mine was, and im sure everyone else's will be too
 
i have called dell today to "b*tch" about my western digital SE drive rebate and they manually issue 100 dollars back to my credit card. Then I called again to the dell education department for the 11/27/02 problem on my order date when the confirmation email I received has 11/26 at 11:56pm as my order date. My sales rep assure me there will be no problem and i just need to write something on the rebate form to ask them to check with dell. Well, I have even included the print out of the email from dell to make sure I will get my rebate. 🙂

this guy is stupid. the order date is listed right on the damn packing slip oddly enough in the box "ORDER DATE"

don't friek people out for no reason dude

Funny, mine has the order date as 11/26/2002 as well.......odd because that's when I ordered it. Now it has a date of 12/02/2002 on it as well, when the packing was done, but I suppose it takes a genius to distinguish between the ORDER DATE box and the packing date box, which are next to one another.

And a call to my Salesperson reaffirmed all $710 in rebates will be honored.....making htis one heck of a deal!!! A P4 computer for $60 and shipping. Can't touch it anywhere else!
