Same here, I almost sh!t my pants when I saw the title.

It's hard to imagine how _huge_ the desktop icons would be if forced to use 1280 x 1024 on a 19" LCD.

Huge? I dread to think how small they would be at 1280x1024. a matter of opinion I guess. 😉

Icons/text are neither huge nor small at 1280x1024 on a 19" LCD.

My 1900FP has the PERFECT resolution for my eyes.

If I had eagle vision perfect 20/20 I'd probably want the Dell 2000FP at 1600x1200 but I don't have perfect vision.

1900FP pwns me!

I must be an old man....I can't go too high on my 19" CRT, and my 1800FP seems blindingly bright to me, I've got it turned down to like 35%!

Response time:
15 ms (R) 10ms (F)

so i think that means the total response time is 25ms... correct me if im wrong.

Edit: LINK to spec page.

This is the X9G, not the X9S.
The X9G is all black with a larger bezel and looks like a clone of the Planar CT1904Z that I bought last year (but it's $60 cheaper).
I love my Planar, so this is very, very tempting. I have till midnight to think about it. Hmmm...

I believe the Dell 1800FP is also 20% off today. Should drop the price from $650 to $520 shipped free (sales tax may apply). I just couldn't bring myself to order two because I couldn't find a dual-DVI card to go with it! 😛

Heh, so exactly how many of us wallflowers are there for a deal on the 1900fp. 😉

But the 17" VPR Matrix will be fine until then. Props to the person who got the woprd out on that one.

I'm still using my Walmart Microtek 18" one heck they have Tons left at the store in my town. I think it is great. I did have to take one back due to the buttons being jacked up but I got another. 🙂

yeah, i was expecting 1600x1200

Wow, you must have a good system there.
Mine hardly able to play UT2003 at 1280x1024x32bit with 4xAA/Ani... 😉

I am currently running a 16" CRT at 1152x864 so an 18" LCD would increase my resolution while keeping everything on screen about the same size, actually things on the LCD would be a bit larger, which is good.

I have got a Sceptre X9S-Naga purchased from Sams Club for $628 plus tax. I have never gotten the DVI input to work on my GF3 TI200 or the ATI Radeon 9500 Pro that I went out and purchased just for this monitor. It is going back as soon as I can get it boxed up. The image quality is good through the analog, but I bought it for the DVI. I think I will go with the Dell 1800FP.

500:1 contrast and 25ms response time? why doesn't anyone seem excited about this? i gotta get away from my computer before i order this thing... can't... afford... must... leave... dunno, looks like a good screen for the price to me.

bump for a hot deal.

I just order one with an extra 10% off one time coupon code for Dell preferred account I just set up a week ago. Less than $500 for me. Thanks for a great deal!
