why is she using the manual tray when she can use the autofeed?

you cant fit a bound book in the auto tray, so youo sometimes need to scan one page at a time into the same file. our bizhub 500 and 601 both have the ability to ask if there is more docs to be scanned before it closes the pdf file. otherwise i dump the whole stack of papers on the auto feed and let it go to town.

I do support in the US and when people call in they are amazed. It's easy to provide world-class support when everyone else gives you crap (like Dell)

Started reading it, eyes glazed over, then started to think, "WTF? PC Load Letter, PC LOAD LETTER..POS!"

tl;dr

I hate customer service people. They feed you bullshit with no repercussions. Its terrible that these large companies can have these peope at the bottom of their food chain deal with the customers but then when something goes wrong they can't be held responsible for anything. Lotta bullshit

if you use acrobat...just create a new document from within acrobat and then scan the pages directly into that. add as many pages/scans as you want, and then stop.

Just because it is the same user id doesn't mean it the same person...

and I would have repeatedly logged into chat if that had happened to me the second time...

Ok, I was having trouble reading his rant. thanks.

OP there are options for multipage scanning from the glass top. I suggest you RTFM. I dont have a 2335 in front of me, but the manual seems pretty straight forward.

at least you got a semi-reply. i knew a jeremiah once, was a good friend of mine. though i never understood a single word he said...

I'm going to read the manual, I'm sure it is possible. It was just one of those things I thought may be answered for me if I had a chat going in the background.

Heh - that's pretty funny.

I've bought probably a dozen or more of PCs/laptops/printers from Dell, and only had a problem worthy of tech support once (on a color laser printer). I went through three drums before it finally printed without smearing and tech support was actually quite good.

You need some prayers.

Lol, I keep hearing all these stories about crappy dell support, but I've never had a problem. Of course, every time I've dealt with them was for 4 hour onsite or next business day service. 🙂
