That doesn't make sense. Maybe they didn't have the active DV turned on?

The reviewer didn't like the Glossy aspect on the Nec. This is pointed out in many reviews as a possible issue depending on the user.
I need a second monitor and thought about the Nec, but I think the Glossy surface is a killer for me.
To date, we have only identified 12 HDCP compliant monitors! Five are going to be featured in next week?s review (we?re still waiting on one of the monitors to arrive):
1. Gateway FPD2185W
2. HP f2105
3. NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2
4. Samsung SyncMaster 244T
5. Viewsonic VP2330wb

And I'm certain that the North American version is supposed to support HDCP. Also, some people are reporting that the 2007WFP does not support HDCP.

The reviewer is a retard. The glossy technology (OptiClear) used by NEC (also used by other manufactures but give it a different name) gives the LCD the ability to display deeper blacks and more vibrant colors. You put the NEC beside the Dell 2007 and the Dell's colors will look dull. The guy obviously didn't like the glossy screen so he just gave the thumbs up to the Dell. Awful review.
And yes, the NEC 20WMGX2 is HDCP compliant (at least the US version is).

I'm not much of a fan of this review either.
They seem to think teh NEC is negatively priced...well, it's got a TV tuner, speakers, & is still best display of those three, so yeah it's gonna cost more...
For those who keep whing about the Opticlear, i still don't understand.
There's more glare & reflection issues with CRTs, yet i don't hear people whining about that...

Erm, how does the NEC 20WMGX2 have a TV tuner? There is no RF coax input.

Inputs: DVI-D, VGA 15 pin D-sub, S-video, component, composite

Anyhow, the 20WMGX2 most definitely has a tv tuner.
