Iam looking for the best business degree to get for undergrad. BEST means most paying and not so so so hard to get a job. I do Plan to get a masters in the same area.

Accounting ( not my fav)
corporate financial management ( my fav #3)
finance
Human resouces management
International business
Management ( My fav #2), seems to general.
Marketing ( my fav)

how old are you? you never know how the job market will be like 4 years later if you are a freshman. my advice, study something you enjoy.

economics major is getting hot and hotter.

Agreed. OP, since you say you're gonna do a Masters as well, an undergrad degree in Economics will let you pick any major (i.e. from your poll) you want. Plus, a base in Economics wil help you later in life.

I'm done with GE so I can do any of those degrees in two years

Question whats better in terms of how they see you a BA or BS in ECON. BS is more numbers, BA is theory and more general. I know I can pump out the BA program in 1.5 years, BS will be 2, but I don't want to be an accountant so Iam leading away from BS and more BA, its just a dregee to get me into the business program that I want. Mosy likely in marketing

do what you love otherwie you'll probably end up sucking at it cuz you can't compete at the same level w/those that love it

why does everyone vote accounting, doesn't that lead to being just the accountant and they don;t make as much a some of the others on there

Are you an idiot?

You create a poll, ask people to vote in it, then start to whine/complain when people aren't choosing what you agree with. Why do you even have the poll?

Are you seriously considering picking whatever the poll shows highest? Wow, you're setting your whole future degree/career based on poll of some ATOT ppl...half of which probably just randomly picked one.

Do yourself a big favor and sit down with a school advisor or counselor. Have a talk with them and figure out what you enjoy doing and what you feel you would be best at and go from there. Don't just put up a poll and hope strangers will make the right decision.

Dude first off settle down before you have a heart attack.

2. Im justing wonder why some many people pick a certain one, NOT that I hate that they aren't picking the ones I like.

3. Iam not going to do what the ATOT forums says I just looking for insight which YOU ALMOST NONE TO GIVE.

4. Thank you for your input in the later part of your post

5. Go flame somewhere else

if you plan on being broke and unemployed... stay away from marketing... management is also a very unpopular business degree to get....

go finance or accounting....mis if your strong in the computer department...

How is economics getting hotter and hotter? That degree has almost no practical application period. I would know. I'm a minor in it.

I sounds like a good degree for me to base a business masters off of, but then it not really business ( as in a pure business ........ degree)

Remeber I will get a masters in a similar area. I just looking for a good springboard degree. That will get me a good paying job for me to work as i do my masters

I would speak with a career counselor at your school and decide your strengths and desires intersect. You'll be happier with that kind of career and probably make more in the long run b/c you'll be better at your job.

I be honest. I though

a corporate financial management would combine the "accounting" along with management therefore be one of the best degrees out there, but a management degree seems hard to get a job as management right off the bat.

Companies are always going to need accountants. Even in bankruptcy, they'll need someone to close their books or whatnot.
