Hello everyone,
Last week i disassembled my computer to put some termal paste because it was starting to overheat. After i had everything in place, turned the computer on, some things started to behave strangely. The first thing i noticed is that my ps2 keyboard stoped working - almost. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't, and it works mostly when the pc is running for a while. The weird thing is that other keyboards work flawlessly...maybe some of the pins of the ps2 plug gone bad?
Also, i use a professional sound card, a M-audio delta 1010, which is now making all kinds of pops when i playback audio. It looks as if the system load peeks on a timely basis when any audio is played back, and this makes those popping sounds.
Is it possible that somehow i managed to screw up my motheboard when i took the fan and processor off, causing those behavior, or my windows system has simply gone bad (Causing the sound problem) and the ps2 thing being just a coincidence ?
btw, I've tested the system with other memory, cpu and those things are still happening.
Thanks,
Ivan
