Alright, at my 1000th post I posted my cover single...now...for #2000...here's the real thing 🙂 The first original single, written, composed, produced, and performed by Deeko. It's kinda short, but hey, it's my first song, what do you expect? 🙂 I made the backround in CakeWalk Express using the Fluid soundfont for my SBLive!. It's not too bad. I also have the instrumental version for my next song, I haven't recorded the full thing yet.

I downloaded the first one and it's bollocks. I really sincerely do think it's awful awful awful. Twee lyrics, dull dull tune and sub-par vocals. You go out of tune a hell of a lot in those high bits, I think you might need to go ahead and get castrated because in your current state, you're not getting anywhere close to pulling it off.

It sucks donkey's balls. It actually makes bands like Nsync sound good, it really is that bad.

Sorry, but you can't post a song and not expect people to give their honest opinions, and I'm not going to lie about what I think of it.
 
Yeah well, I'm just fed up with Deeko telling people here that he's going to be a pop-star. Take that to any decent record company worth it's salt and they'd laugh in your sorry face.

Now that's just a BIT too far IMO. Criticizing a PERSON as opposed to their MUSIC doesn't help any.
 
No I'm not a fan of the genre, neither are most people here, yet everyone so far seems to agree that the song is simply no good. I'll admit, that the Nsync/BBS songs I hear on the radio, whilst I may not dig the style of music, I can at least appreciate the fact that the guys can sing pretty well and harmonize with each other etc etc.

To put it quite bluntly, Deeko's attempts at harmonies are cringe-worthy. He obviously posted to get feedback, and I'm giving my honest opinion of the song.

The castration comment (which was obviously a joke), was merely a way of pointing out that his voice is cracking up at high notes. It's not criticizing the person, so much as the person's sub-par singing voice.

Yet again Goldenbear, you totally misinterpret someone's post.
 
Yeah, sorry Deeko, but after about 10 seconds I had to shut it off. 🙁

Edit - Good job on writing it and producing it though, I couldn't do that. 🙂
 
deeko's voice leaves something to be desired. But I'll give him this...he has the balls to put it out there and leave himself open to be criticized.
 
Heh, the vocals do suck, I just threw them together at the last minute. No where near my best.

the instrumental is right there already....just need to toss on the vocals. The vocal line is already there as a midi instrument.

ROFL.....i'm dying here.....the combination of the midi music and the voice really made me laugh so loudly. Whats that high pitched singing in the background man? Take this as no insult, but stay in school 😉 I may not agree that pop boybnand music is good but its levels above this 😉

To be honest, while I'm not great, I sing a lot better than most people...so it may be sub-par to professionals, but to the average person, no way.
