Ok...so I'm deciding between cars right now. trying to stay under 30k if possible.
I'm shooting for either the Accord EXv6 or Maxima SE or Dodge Charger RT.

Solely based on bang for the buck..I'm leaning towards the Maxima. But my heart is crying out CHARGER!

One thing that has me double thinking the charger tho is reliability. I know with the Maxima and the Accord - reliability is set. Not so sure about the charger.

Convince me on one.

if you want a reliable car.... get a used subaru with 30-69k miles already on it.... and pocket the rest of that cash.....

if you want a performance car.... get a mustang.... or a roadster.... or a used F-body.... or a 350Z.... just NOT THAT piece of garbage

V6 != power in cars that have base invoices under 28k

take it from a V6 mustang owner.

Please don't buy the Dodge. Save yourself. Buy an Evo 8 or wait for the Evo 9. An STI is a nice solution as well. Otherwise, if neither of these suites you either the Maxima or Accord are great cars. I'd probably go with the Nissan myself, but the Honda is just as good.

Wow really surprised that on this board the dodge is sofar ahead. I guess brute HP is worth something :).

I haven't hear of any problems with the HEMI engine and they have been around for awhile. Anybody heard of any or anything about the mercedes 5 speed thats in it?

WRX and EVO aren't in the same class as these cars. Legacy GT maybe.

Refering to the Dodge (and prepared for the flaming):

Why do people buy cars that

1. Look like crap
2. Handle like crap
3. Corner like crap
4. Have crappy interior
5. Depreciate ridiculously

???

When picking a car, I'd get a car that has a little more than straightline power. Pricewise, the Evo is in the same class. Performance wise it is as well. The Accords and Maxima have around 250ish hp nowadays?

Uh it doesn't handle like crap. Its a big ass family car not a miata. EVO is a midsized car this is a big ass car different class.

63.2 600-ft slalom doesn't seem so bad to me and the charger has a slightly stiffer suspension setup if I remember right.

saab 9-2x and volvo v50 t5 for comparison pretty sure the saab has a better suspension setup then the regular WRX.
