My response is to call out the foolishness of progressives who claim that the measure of a society is how it treats its children.

To progressives, society is just fine when it kills its children.

Give this nonsense a break. Progressives do not consider fetuses to be children and the public and courts agree.

You can always tell a bigot but you can't tell him much so I think I'll just waste some time:

Imagine that science comes up with a way to remove the unwanted fetuses of women who want to about and transplant them successfully such that they can be carried to term by men. Would you volunteer to save one of these "children". Assume all the debilitating effects of pregnancy on women's longevity and if you would do so, how many times would you volunteer? How many murder victims would you save knowing it's within your power but in no other way?

It's not that black and white, and the public and courts do not agree. The courts and some of the public agree in the concept of choice when it comes to a pregnancy, but taking religion out of the equation, the "cluster of cells" nonsense is very condional and often political.

When a pregnant woman loses a pregnancy, especially late term when the gender is known and maybe even a name chosen, she and her family mourn the loss of a child, not a fetus.

Scott Peterson was found guilty in a court of law of committing 2nd degree murder against his unborn son.

There is precedence and support for scenarios where we as a society do consider or perceive a fetus as a life.

Where conservatives are hypcrites is that they want to ban abortion and birth control programs. The best offense against abortion is sex education, birth control and family planning programs.

The fact that funding for CHIP simply was allowed to expire is an absolute travesty. Unfortunately the GOP is more interested in fixing issues with guns and hunting than making sure sick kids in hospitals can continue receiving treatment.
