December 2017 Democratic mass emails want people to do this for them

Unlike the emails I've been getting from team Trump this one wants me to call on behalf of children's health. The entire Trump family wants money from me and Hillary wants me to support health insurance. What a contrast and take notice that not one time are they asking for any money.

The true measure of a community is how we treat our children.

(name omitted) --

These days, bipartisanship sounds like a dream of the past, but when we first passed the Children's Health Insurance Plan in 1997, we did so with support on both sides of the aisle -- and gave millions of children, pregnant women, and families the security of knowing they had access to critical care.

We came together because we understood that the true measure of a community is how we treat our children. Whether we invest in them and give them an opportunity to live up to their God-given potential.

But then, more than 60 days ago, the Republican-controlled Congress let CHIP, which has been reauthorized on a bipartisan basis every year for the last 19 years, expire -- leaving nine million children and families worried about their access to health care. Meanwhile, Senate Republicans rushed to pass so-called tax reform -- a giveaway for those who least need it.

That's unacceptable. And it gets worse. During the campaign, I warned that the Republicans would come after social security, Medicare, and Medicaid -- and now they are. Imagine buying a Rolex and paying for it with money you saved to take care of your kids. That's what Congress is doing with your tax dollars.

Today, I'm asking you to call your Representative and Senators at (202) 224-3121 and ask them to renew the Children's Health Insurance immediately.

I'm thinking of people like Ryan Moore, who was seven when I first met him, wearing a full body brace and smiling from ear to ear. He inspired me and kept me going through the hardest moments of the fight for health reform. And like Sara Soltani, whose cochlear implant was covered under the Children's Health Insurance Program -- a fact she didn't realize until her mother told her as she was preparing to graduate from high school and head off to college, her life full of promise and possibility.

There are countless children who got the chance to grow up, to dream big, to have the lives and the futures they deserved. Gregory, we've come too far to turn back now.

Call your Representative and Senators and let them know that you're counting on them to extend the Children's Health Insurance Program: (202) 224-3121

There's a lot to be frustrated by right now, to say the least. Here's something that we should be able to fix together.

Yours,

Hillary

P.S. The current enrollment period for coverage under the Affordable Care Act ends December 15th -- if you or someone you love needs coverage, tell them to go to healthcare.gov and sign up now.

I still don't like that "onward" phrase. Weird word that nobody uses regularly unless they are in some committee.

Let's hope they re-authorize it in conference.

The Repubs would be committing political suicide if they don't. I'm sure they're not that stupid, right?

I guess that she's going to stick with that phrase which doesn't bother me any.

Do I really have to answer that question?:p

Heh, no you don't. The Repubs have continuously exhibited their nasty habit of not minding to appear as stupid as Rick Perry is in order to accomplish their mission of making the rich so much more wealthy. ;)

I would really like to believe your last statement. I once believed that it would be impossible to elect a drooling shitbag like Trump, I was wrong in that belief just as you may be in yours.

Funny when Democrats think of the children its in a positive manner and when Republicans think of the children....well you know what outcome that produces.

The true measure of a community is how we treat our children.

Yes it is.

And many progressives are fine with killing them in utero when the child is anything other than timely, healthy, and convenient.

For progressives to use this line is at once laughable and horrifying.

If you read the bible Jesus said that the sin clock doesn't begin until birth so until such time a fetus is just biological mass with the potential to become a person. Even though I don't like abortion I believe that a person should have governance over their person. Church people believe this especially after Sunday service lets out and they rush their local restaurants to maintain their obesity.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Gen 2:7

What that is saying breath is life and breath doesn't begin until birth.

Well in that instance Jesus created man imparting the spirit of life, which is a soul for a human, through the first recorded instance of CPR.:D I believe that God is crystal clear on this subject yet organized religion runs off on its own tangent filled with hate and misunderstanding to condemn others for their own purposes.

The message is strong and true, but it shouldn't be coming from hilly.

What does the bible have to do with this? This is sheer fallacy. Define "person", and then tell me why an unborn child doesn't meet that definition.

Even though I don't like abortion I believe that a person should have governance over their person.

Yes, a person should have governance over their person. Another child is not their person.

Yeah. I think the word "Rebuild" would resonate more. That'll open up the Dems to run on the platform that the GOP has done nothing but tear everything apart.

So because progressives believe in the right to choose and you don't your response is to ignore the call to help children in need?

You might be as laughable and horrifying as those you complain about.

He will support what ever his team supports, he's incapable of independent thought. To him its all a sport, fuck the kids so long as his rivals support them.

Women have always been persons. So have blacks, and every other human being that society has once deemed non-persons, including the unborn.

My response is to call out the foolishness of progressives who claim that the measure of a society is how it treats its children.

To progressives, society is just fine when it kills its children.
