I don't plan on living much longer, so I don't care. I would like something major to happen. Chaos and panic is exciting.

If the world ends as we know it but there is still people alive and the earth is still here. Then learning to fight and survival techniques would come in handy. Sort of Mad Max stuff

Well lets make sure first, did the Mayans circle "End of the World" on their calendar for that day?

No idea... but just in case, I plan to be out at some bar with friends, celebrating the end, and also my birthday, which is the same day. (which friends and/or town has yet to be determined... maybe.)

Or did they just create a calendar thousands of years into the future and get to that date in 2012 and just say "that's good enough for now, fuck it?"

lol na that's what I thought but read up on it. Basically on that day the earth is supposed to line up with the sun and line up with the center of our galaxy and since our galaxy, and every known galaxy has a black hole in the center of it, it will cause the poles to shift and massive change in magnetic fields causing massive weather changes/earthquakes/floods/eruptions and all other dandy stuff to cause mass extinction. All I know is that I hope we have huge parties and fuck like monkeys on that day or day before.

eh, the hadron collider will just suck the whole planet back in time thats all, and we will have to kill our past self to stay alive, but at the same time since we are killing our past self we will die, so either way we are screwed. :p

I wonder if they knew their civilization would end before the world ended?
