the borg don't have any ships small enough to hit either the exhaust of the first death star or the main core of the second death star. i'd have to say the death star destroys the cube, easily.

i thought the borg had little mini-cubes? such as the one in TNG when geordi helped that borg get his individuality when their mini-cube crashed. or that episode ofvoyager when 7 of 9 had those newly free borg from her unimatrix?

in light of this, Borg...i think those little mini-cubes will go up the hole...

c'mon guys....the borg's thing is called a "Cube." What's another "cube" in technology? yes, that's right, the super-duper MAC G4 CUBE!!! talk about paperweights.

so basically what i'm saying is this: Borg = MAC = can suck it.

Mmm... Some renegade Borg did ass laminate Mac technology, particularly for waste disposal, and the result was disastrous. Behold the ICube! :Q

As for the real Borg... Let's just say that there would be a triumphant Cube cruising for a little while through Dead Star space floatsam before exiting at ludicrous speed.

I think even a federation starship has the power to destroy an unprotected planet, so firepower isn't a question:p A simple long range scan of the deathstar would reveal weapons and weakspots while the deathstars laser would have no effect:p I think theres a reason why the trek universe has no use for em.

No time for a long range scan.

A strange anomaly in the space, time continuum sucks a Borg Cube into it's wake and places it neatly right in front of the Death Star. - From the article

What happens when the Cube flies around to the other side with no big-gun-thingy? Also, lasers have no effect on Star Trek ships; they just get absorbed by the hulls. Why would they need to fly up the hole if they can beam right to the center? No need to worry about flying into walls...

Fire power is a concern. The Enterprise can't even knock down a Borg ship with its wimpy Phasers. The Death Star Cannon is a Huge a$$ laser Cannon. The Borg Cube don't have a chance.

Darth vader can take on any invading borgs. 1 mind remember? ;)

The trek weapons only seem weak because of their advanced shielding:p Not to mention the long range scans would show the source of the deathstars shield to be external:p Easy pickings. That and even if the laser were effective, the borg cube would never maneuver in front of it:p Its kind of obvious where it comes from by sight, not to mention long range scans. I doubt the deathstar could pull a quick 180deg spin and shoot down the cube:p

oops missed the post about no time for long range scans:p Well from the movies its apparent that it takes a while for the deathstar to fire:p short range scans would give them enough information to avoid fire.
