I wouldn't have the balls to do that (or the car capable), but I gotta learn to drive slower when honked.

Hey Moose, you gotta remember you're in LA. What might get you the finger elsewhere can get you shot there.

I'm going to retract this statement...I'll just say that I think it's kind of a dick move to do what the OP did. I've had people do that to me for no reason whatsoever and I don't appreciate it.

i think its equally dickish to honk at someone for a lame reason like "didnt floor it into traffic and get out of my way". when people honk at me for stupid shit like that ill stomp the brakes and look around, like im trying to figure out who honked. if its a honk that happens instantaneous with a green arrow, ill still do it. people need to stop being dicks and honking for stupid reasons.

but youre right, the pillar of smog in his face was dickish. but he kind of deserved at least a bit of it. my truck doesnt smoke.

I'll wait a few seconds and give a quick honk when people aren't paying attention. I never lay on the horn as soon as the light changes though. I'm going to assume that mooseputty was not paying attention and just got angry and overreacted when the guy in the Vette honked at him.

ya, if i am the one spacing off i just go. theres a ton of asshats here that will honk as soon as the light changes, just in case you arent paying attention. i even got honked at yesterday for not turning right on red when there was a sign posted that said "no turn on red". i almost got out and pointed at the sign after he held on the horn for over 30 sec when i wouldnt go.

LOL, I've had people do that. I just ignore them.

If someone honks at me when I can't even move yet, I just stop in my tracks, let traffic pull away, and slowly turn my head and focus the glare of death for a minimum of 5 seconds at the offender. It helps having the stature and attitude to make it authentic.

It stops the honking and keeps them off my bumper for the rest of the drive; two birds with one stone.

This is also Arizona; if you pull a gun, expect to be shot first.

I have one of those by my house, truth be told more than 60% of the people ignore the sign, so basically following the law makes you an asshole to these types of people.

I keep hoping for a catastrophic accident but it hasn't happened yet.

I'm just kidding around dude. You just like to give everyone a hard time in the forums, so I assumed it was a forum member 😉

No, I've only met one forum member in person and he's a nice guy. I have no problem with anyone here...except fleabag and he doesn't even own a car.

I do like to give people a hard time though. 😛

So... you're in a big truck, and he's in a Corvette. You expect him to see right in front of or through your truck? How is he supposed to still see the cars in the intersection and not just think you weren't paying attention?

Do people in other countries just laugh at Americans when they see pictures like this?

Because I just shake my head in disbelief.

Not sure what you find funny, because if you've ever been over to other countries, they are 95% diesel cards...so soot shooting out like that is very, very common in other countries. They have less emission standards then we do in the US.

i used to ignore them, but i found its more fun for me to see how far their anger will push them. someday i may find an armed one i guess, but hey... whatever. im rarely in a hurry, it amazes me that so many people are in so much a hurry they cant wait 45 seconds for a turn.

haha im in az too. and armed. would be funny to see both of us at an intersection with douches like that behind us.

not to mention those race trucks arent even close to emission standards of regular road driving. you dont see diesel trucks pouring out that smoke in everyday driving unless its a delivery truck or broken somehow. i do get some diesel dicks flooring it and making that kind of smoke, but im assuming they have some "speed" mod that is causing it, not stock motors.

I'm a pretty tolerant and logical person. I don't even use my horn at all when someone pulls in front of me, I just perform evasive maneuvers and fly around them and go about my business like it didn't happen. No reason to get distracted being pissed off and honking at someone I'll never see again. It takes a real douche bag to earn my attention.

Wow, you guys really get upset if someone honks at you. Bunch of babies...

Lights green, you're not moving, you get the horn. How are we supposed to know what's going on in front of you if your vehicle is 3x larger? How do we know you're not just distracted?
