I remember when Obama was elected, there were a lot of nervous people talking about FEMA death camps. I always thought this was ridiculous, mainly because so many Republicans own guns.

If you're a liberal, and you're seriously terrified about Trump sending the SS to come oppress you, buy a gun, preferably an AR. Not only is shooting one amazing stress relief, but the confidence you'll have about resisting a tyrannical government will really help you get through the next 4-8 years. If, at the end of Trump's Presidency, you haven't come to value gun ownership, you can probably sell your rifle to a terrified gun nut for a profit.

People who know something about firearms are aware they're pretty useless when real gestapo come for you, and if anything only serve as an excuse for them to use their training.

What's most ironic about this topic is that it turns the republicans were really dreaming of realizing the conspiracies they were accusing everyone else of. As evidence, take note of what's happening in the Muslim ban/registration topics, where the trumpets are hardly protesting it much. They're probably dreaming of their excuses to use when signing up for the great jobs trumps is going to create to that end.
 
I'm suspicious about the Commie part...

I won't say my favorite word from this election cycle because I have promised to give Trump a chance.
 
While I'd rather there be less guns on the street I'm not going to begrudge someone who feels the need for a weapon if they are going to be responsible with it and use it in accordance with the law.

That being said a way for liberals to address their concerns is to volunteer time and money to non-profits who are going to have to fill in the gaps.

  • Civil Rights groups
  • Reproductive services
  • Immigration support
  • Environmental groups

It will need to keep happening.

I'd also say vote in local elections. If we want to reduce gerrymandering and voter suppression it's going to take having responsive local and state governments.

Yes, base every resistance movement, every revolution, took place without weapons.

They just held one sided echo chamber debates, had safe spaces and dance offs.

Not just when the Gestapo come, but useless in general evidently. We saw this in Dallas. Open carry is supposed to make everyone safer, and yet one dude runs through shooting up the place and everyone just watched. In fact they gave their weapons to LEO and ran away. Seems pointless.
 
If it came to where people really had to go full 2nd Amendment style and form state militias armed with rifles to fight a tyrannical federal government that has tanks and cannons and airplanes and helicopters, I would just move to another country. Being cannon fodder is not my style, and I have marketable skills. Australia seems nice weather wise 🙂

The watering tree of liberty people should give it a shot to see what happens. They'll always have the good ol boys to bail them out in count just in case that falls through.
