The solder points are probably all done by a machine press type deal. And who wants to manually clip each point just so it won't be "razor sharp," I mean... come on. Dell makes money by selling quantity. They couldn't care less about the quality of some intricate details that the average person will never see.

I have all kinds of criss-crossing scars, missing chunks of fles, etc. on my fingertips after doing this for a month. My fingerprints are no longer the same.

Then explain why every other manufacturer on the planet doesn't have razor edges? I mean, even MSI's enthusiast boards aren't lethal weapons

The fingerprints bit is cool, but the loss of fine sensation in my fingertips due to scarring and such is a bad thing - just ask the ladies 🙁

Just remember to stroke a bit more gently than you reckon is necessary, and you're golden.

I bet I could take apart any retail computer and find razor sharp solder points in it somewhere. What do you want them to do, stamp a warning sticker on the back saying "If the little pointy things on the back of the motherboard that we don't want you playing with look sharp, they probably are!"?
