The guy let someone else drive his car. If it was his brother, should he sue his brother for a new car? Sh!t happens, he let someone else drive the car, his insurance will pay for it and it'll depreciate. That's what happens to cars.

But it wasn't his brother now was it? This was an employee of the stealership.

Let say you have a Porsche 911. You take it in b/c you keep hearing a whistling sound coming from the rear window in the car that wasn't there before. You take it in for service and they test drive it to see what's going on so that they know what part to order if there is a problem. The tech gets in the car, takes it down the street, shifts into second, guns it, breaks the rear-end loose and crashes the car into a telephone pole totalling it.

Sh!t happens?? I think not; those fvckers are buying me a new car. My insurance? Fvck no. HIS INSURANCE!
The car is no where near totaled, so dealer will be responsible for fixing the damage, nothing more. That guy is living in a dream world if he thinks he's getting a new car.

LOL, do you know anything about aluminum repair on an all aluminum sports car (body and chassis)? 😀

Anyway, see the post below yours
No, I know nothing of aluminum repair, but you can bet the dealers insurence company does.
As for the post below mine, It sounds like he's trading in his car instead of getting the car fixed. Why else would his payments be starting over? Well never know, but I bet the dealer made out in this deal. The markup on the NSX is huge. He could give the guy book value for his car, and more than make up for it on the new one. Everybody's happy!
