Deadlift question

When doing deadlifts I do my best to drag the weight up my shins, like I'm supposed to. I scraped my skin up enough to actually bleed some yesterday, which seems rude and potentially unsafe for others who plan to use the bar after me.

Any tips to maintain proper form without scraping off the skin on my shins? Can I rub chalk on my legs or something?

I usually wear long pants on my deadlift day.

Try wearing sweat pants 😛. I keep the bar near enough to my shins, but don't actually rub up on them.

Pants FTW!!! .... if u must lift with shorts, get some chalk (if allowed) and put it on ur shins, will help with reducing the scrapping.
