Ah I'm sorry it wasn't a general it was actually Ogedai Khan who died that prevented the Mongols from taking over all of Europe.
It's more than Generals. It's 5000 miles from Mongolian plateau which is impossible to support 200,000 men in nomadic armies, in countries with little grass, lots of mountains, and fortifications and strong armies themselves. This is why they only invaded Hungary with 20,000. If Europe was as close as China no problem.
