DEAD: XBOX360 Elite for $299 @ Dell.com

Doesn't look like a price mistake as it says "Instant Savings". That looks rather purposeful.

Yes, save $150 on select Dell Home Items which expires Friday

Damn, my friend has been holding out for a price drop, he better jump on this one. Hell, I'm tempted to sell him mine and buy one of these for myself.

Great deal, temped to buy one and sell my just got back from MS premium. Is there an easy way to transfer all of your data from say your old HD to the new one?

I think it comes w/ a cable that lets you do that.

The Elite doesn't come with the cable. The 120GB HDD does though. You can buy the cable separately.

Nope. Have to use the transfer kit or a memory card to move everything.

Well, game saves at least. You can re-download games and DLC and tie those to the new console - Link.

Saves can be done via a Memory Card but if you want your gamertag, profile, downloads, saves etc etc you need to do the transfer kit.

I think the cable can be order direct from MS for free since you are purchasing an Elite. You have to provide both serial #s (ie your new Elite and your old whatever flavor of 360) and fill out a form but then you get your cable in a few days.

If I didn't already have 2 Falcons and a HALO Edition I would be all over this but alas I don't need a 4th 360!!

Greg

You can buy one for me. 😉

Whoa </keanu>

This includes the $40 HDMI + optical combo so you don't need to crack your AV cable, plus twice the space of the 60 GB Premium, and a couple of games.

The only drawback is it's a Falcon motherboard instead of Jasper, so the failure rate is alleged by a nameless ex-MS insider to still be 10% instead of ~2%.

Very, very tempting.

I know this has been asked a thousand times but I'm too lazy to search so forgive me but are all elites falcons?

Edit and why can't I find the transfer cable price anywhere?

At this point, yes.

Because they aren't sold via retail separately. You either have to call MS for one or buy one off of eBay.

Any idea how much the cable is from MS, or is it free? :Q

wolfman you are my hero... with the upcoming update that lets you copy games to your HD I was going to need to buy their overpriced 120g hard drive...
