No kidding! I was ordering one of these this morning, made up my mind sitting in traffic that I should go ahead and complete the new build below (this is the last component)... logged on to AT first and saw this post and got my order through before the corrections. Now I am sitting here waiting to see if I should pull the trigger and get one from the Egg or ZZF for $322.00 before I leave the office! I am tempted to call PC Direct but I just know that would get it cancelled for sure! :)

I thought about it but decided to hold off since the orders will probably get cancelled anyway. They probably received far more orders than the number of chips they have in stock.

I suppose now that the deal is dead it doesn't matter. In general, though, calling is shunned upon.

I'm guessing he was referring to one of us who hasn't had their order approved nor cancelled yet, not those who didn't get in on the deal.

I'm still waiting to see what happens with my order.

Anyone else get a hold on their credit card yet? I did but there is one for the invoice price, and another for $1.20 from them also? So they put a hold on my credit card and had my order for an entire business day already, if they aint gonna ship it, I wish they would just cancel the dang things already.

I've gotten a hold on my credit card (or at least I assume so - my available credit is down by about the right amount, but my credit card company doesn't show transactions on the website for 2 days or so :frown:[/i])

the 1.xx is to verify your card before they charge it,
authorizing/holding is instant, releasing the hold takes a few days

if you dont want to wait, cancel the order yourself

They instantly hit my card and I received a receipt for the purchase. I'm in for the waiting game if I have ANY chance of getting the CPU, but the more reseller reviews I read, the more doubtful I become.

I waited 2 weeks to have my item shipped then i called and it still wasnt shipped. That is not very good business




Im just worried I'll be waiting forever......the endless night before christmas.... they are obviously aware of the pricing issue but no one has reported an order cancellation or any company contact....will it ever happen or will they just hold our money until we call and ask for it back?

Man, those reviews kind of scare me... I saw a 9.1 or so out of 10 on reseller ratings and thought that was pretty good. I'll hang in there for a lil bit before I start getting freaked out...

I got my order in earlier today (when there were only 4 replies to this thread). I've been waiting all day long. Hmmmmmmm.
