Question:

If you previously bought another HD from the Officemax/WD May offers, does this exclude you from picking up this one?

Price of hard drives is down dramatically. My thought is that the manufacturers are phasing out IDE drives and Serial ATA will become major player soon in storage market.

I wouldn't worry about SATA until a few years from now. even all mb support is SATA, you can always get an expansion card for 30 bucks or so.

Damn, this is a nice deal.. I wish I had the money. Rebates kinda suck that way. 😛

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the price is now $179.xx. The price on 5/25 will drop to 159.xx BECAUSE of the $20 IR, right? I mean, OM isn't going to drop the price $20 AND then take $20 off the price via an IR simultaneously, for a total savings of $40.

Hello all. New to the boards. Been lurking without an account for about a month.

Anyway, I just checked the link to the HD, and it's saying price is $179.99, best I can tell. Also, is that $20 IR just automatically factored in, or is there a code or something that needs to be entered?

look at the office max ads for this coming sunday here
says there that the price is 159.99-20 IR, so it looks liek they are dropping the price, and puttin an IR on there

Just buy it now and do a return and a rebuy at the same time. You'll get the lower price and the rebates will print out of the register too....🙂

i read through the thread, and sorry if i missed it, but i need to make sure.

this is not B&M only right? the advertised special should appear online as well with the same prices/rebates at officemax.com correct?

if it is, itd be easier. just wait until 12am on sunday, order online, enter $30 coupon code, print rebates and pick up in store/delivery. easy as that!

I looked for the in-store delivery option-can't find it anywhere. A liitle help please.

OM doesn't allow in store pickup from online purchases.. In fact they claim that OfficeMax and OfficeMax.com are two different entities which is why many won't allow online coupons to be used in store 🙁

I on the other hand have never had OM not send me one, and I am talking at least 50 of them. I find that they are better than Staples for rebates now. I even got the Cendyne burner one the other day, only took 13 weeks, and that is good by Cendynes standard. 😉

Strange, I have submitted over 30 OM rebates and got every one without any delays or need to call. Luck seems unlikely to be the cause of such different results unless you were only talking about 1 or 2 rebates.

Does anyone know for sure if I can use the rebate for the 120gb when I bought the 60gb with this same mir form????????

If you look at the Western Digital $50 rebate form you will see that each rebate has a different offer # and $30 Officemax Western Digital rebate form has a different # too.

How will they handle a re-buy with the 50 coupon? This is the problem I'm running into by buying it now and trying to get the price readjusted.

I *think* you need to buy at list price, and add the coupon upon the rebuy. I've had problems PM'ing if I had used a coupon before because they claimed that the coupon price made their price as low as the PM.
