Can you play on the same servers as the people on the PS3? (I know that is a long shot, but hey, it happened with FFXI, IIRC).

I watched this rumor up until the release and was disappointed to see that no you can't play cross platform. Epic claimed that making patches for the PS3 required a lengthy approval process through Sony which would hold up cross platform patching. The only games that have really accomplished true cross platform multiplayer are the ones you mentioned as well as one called Shadowrun.

Getting back to the deal, $20 is a hot price for one of the best multiplayer FPS games out right now.

if they're still playing the original UT, what makes you think they'll start playing UT3 when they haven't even switched to the 3 other releases prior to UT3?
