Similar to Doom 3 yes - but imo this is what doom 3 should have been. It's a slick game and i'm enjoying it a lot
 
Best damn game ever made!!
Grafic are great and so is the controlling ect..
I cannot find one thing wrong with it so go buy it you wont regret it..
Currently I have beat on hard now I am going to go through it again on the next setting up.

True, but Doom 3 did it in a crappy way. There wasn't any creepiness in Doom 3 - they just popped up and started shooting at you. And the puzzles in Dead Space are simple, but fun.

I wouldn't say that this is a complete evaluation of the game. There's only 1 enemy in the entire game that doesn't die. He's a boss that you have to creatively "disable" in different ways. You only see him 3 times and there's quite a bit of time in between.

That being said, what FPS isn't like Doom? Doom, just like every other FPS, has very similar aspects to most other FPS's, yes. However, there are several things that make it stand out from Doom like storyline, atmosphere, and, above all, gameplay.
