I just wanted to amke this thread to let everyone know how unbelievable this game. I just played it for an hour and I am in awe at this game.

It is one of the most polished games on the 360 no questions asked. There is absolutely nothing I can nitpick about this game. From the "no HUD" type of presentation, to the combat (which I was somewhat worried about), to the incredible sound, this game is just incredible.

If you have a chance to check this game out, please do yourself a favor and check it out. It's amazing.

Most people know the difference between 'WRITE' and 'RIGHT'.

Now that that's out of the way, this game does look pretty sweet. I watched the review vids over at IGN and gamespot and it looks good. Even though they made it so there's incentive for multiple playthroughs, I doubt I'd play it more than once though which is what's stopping me from getting it at full price.

I picked up the game for PS3 today. I've only played through the first two chapters, but so far so good. The core gameplay mechanics are great (the devs certainly took some cues from resident evil 4, which is not a bad thing). Not to mention that the plot seems to borrow from a wide variety of popular horror sci fi flicks (e.g. alien and event horizon were obvious influences).

All in all, if you are going to drop $60 on only one game this fall, this one definitely warrants serious consideration.

All the reviews I've seen have said they are pretty much equal.

And yeah, the suit is already available on the 360.

Hmm, there's really nothing about this game that I've seen or heard that interests me (beyond it being a horror game, and a good game). The overall positive feedback will probably get me to play it at some point though.

I picked up this game and didn't get to put much time into it yet. I wasn't sure if I should buy it though with Fable out in 5 days and then Fallout the week after that. Just for the little time I payed, I am SO happy I did. I love the no hud. I really hope lots more games do something like that in the future. And I think it might have the best sound I've ever heard coming from my 360 so far. HD TV+5.1 sound is amazing with this game.

Wow I just looked at the achievement list and saw it was 12 chapters. I've like an hour and 40 minutes into it and haven't finished chapter 2 yet but I would think I'm pretty close.

Sounds like its a pretty solid length for single player.

I don't think I have a single complaint with this game yet.

Story - good so far
Atmoshpere - awesome
sound - best I've heard
graphics - excellent
gameplay - awesomeness

I love shooting the monsters leg off then stomping their head. I'm wondering how many different enemies there are and if there are good boss fights. I haven't seen any yet.


Granted I only played for little over an hour but it is great so far.

i agree with this as well. have you gotten out of the ship so that you are in space?

the sound and atmosphere is incredible at those parts. i've only gotten to 1 part like that so far.
