Well excuse me but fuck the hell off. I play on PC so I can use my mouse and keyboard. It's probably the number 1 draw card for PC gaming to me.
Agreed
It's people like you two and PingSpike who make me ashamed to call myself a PC Gamer. You and the others like you turn up your nose at anything that's not "MOUSE AND OMFGSPLOOGE KEYBOARD!!!111one" and instantly dismiss a game that doesn't lend itself to a mouse and keyboard.
You're like the French of gaming.

Yah. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a game sold for PC to have basic mouse/keyboard support, instead of running inputs through analog controller code.

I played Dead Space all the way through with mouse/keyboard. If you're complaining about the controls being slow, that's probably because you're not supposed to be walking around with your gun drawn the whole time. You turn to your targets, aim, and shoot. If you can't kill the enemies with the help of stasis, exploding barrels, and the awesome weapons, then you just suck at shooting games.

What you are saying is that when I said "someone's opinion is not always a fact" it was just an opinion and not a fact.
This implies that you feel opinions are always facts.
In my opinion you're just an antisocial moron with nothing better to do than threadcap and added nothing to conversation.
By your logic, this must be true.
I'll rise to your bad logic, and raise you some good logic.
We will start with the simplist SIC. I gave only one opionion SIC.
Now, let us consider this for a moment. How exactly does his statement imply what he believes? Unless you can back up with some evidence, then you can not declaratively SIC state that he was referencing your 'someone's opinion is not always a fact' statement, nor can you say that even if he was that he believes that statement to be false. What you are saying is that when I said "someone's opinion is not always a fact" it was just an opinion and not a fact.
This implies that you feel opinions are always facts.
It appears that while writing that statement you might have realized that the logic of the argument was over your head and decided to resort to name calling. That says way more about your intellectually credibility then any ethical dilemma surrounding my use of declarative statements ever could. Giving up any semblance of an argument and resorting to name calling really is the depths of intellectual uselessness.
And you call me out for posting opinion, but you do not bother to rebut my opinion, nor even to point out what you believe to be opinion, and to top it off you claim that I somehow declared myself a authority as ?the mature voice of reason? which can be nothing but your opinion.
So, basically you yourself posted a bunch of opinions which, which you disguise as facts, and that have nothing to do with the topic, and when someone questioned you on it you instead of defending your postion simply become insulting.
I'm the one that should be ignored?

Having fun trolling yet?
Does this is even involve deadspace for you anymore?
Did it ever?
Nice threadcrap you've got going there, I'm done with you.
But yes, I guess my "opionion" is "simplist".
Whatever that may mean.
I'm just going to turn the lights back off, and fire this one up on my 360 again, really was a nice scare at times.

No shit... a maxed out Plasma Cutter rapes undead space zombies like you wouldn't believe.
I never touched anything but the Plasma Cutter, Rifle and Contact Beam cept to play with a bit. Did carry around the Force Gun for a while and used it a LITTLE in close combat, but could have easily done without it. Would have had more room for plasma rounds.

or plug in a 360 controller which every pc gamer should have anyway. if you spend $200+ on a graphics card, shell out $30 so you can enjoy games that control better with a gamepad.
i started the game with the gamepad and after getting mauled over and over in the asteroids section, switched to m/kb and found i preferred it, and stuck with that the rest of the game.
i had no problems either way and thought it was a great game. props to EA for experimenting with new franchises. between this and mirror's edge they're branching out successfully. drm has never affected me negatively as I don't reinstall windows every week. like 99% of people out there, I'm quite happy with my pc gaming and have no plans to buy a console.
Gamepads suck for everything except racing.

It helps, but that's not a total solution. Even with V-Sync off, Sensitivity maxed out, the controls are STILL too slow. Plus, now I have to play the game with annoying tearing whenever there's a flashing light, which is everywhere in this game.Originally posted by: skace
A gamepad is not needed for Dead Space, the controls work flawlessly once V-Sync is disabled. It's a horrible oversight but a trivial fix once known.
Horrible and sloppy work by the devs. Inexcusable.

Edit: Just so you know, I thought it was a good game as well. The technical side of it was a horrible disgusting mess, though.

The sooner some get over expecting FPS controls and just play the game, the sooner they will know how good it is also.
