I emailed them last week and then got the same reply and then the check showed up this week.
It would appear that they are only sending checks to people who complain.

Same here. We should start a class action law suit against them for intentionally not sending out the checks. Anyone interested? It is sad, but it seems that law suits and public humiliation and bad press are the only deterents for actions like this... Stupid SOYO...

You can count me in on that class action law suit!

I bought an Enermax case from NewEgg to replace the crapola Barebones Soyo case. It was a good price and arrived in 2 days:

Model# CS-30881TA-B3A

And, my idle CPU temps for my AMD Athlon XP 3000+ went from 57C to 39C, with everything else the same (cheap speez HSF).

Oh, I did change out the PSU, too. Using an Antec 350W power supply. Much better than the one that came with the Soyo or the Enermax case.

My $50 soyo rebate was mysteriously paid just two days after I emailed them. Seems like such a coincidence . . .

Yes, Chris, the big crystal looking "eye" above the temp readout is the power button and it has a blue LED that is lit when it is on; and below the temp readout is another smaller crystal looking lamp with another blue led that blinks when there is HDD activity.

It is a pretty solid case and a good price. I am enjoying it. Will hate to part with the computer when I give it to my pre-teen son as an X-mas gift!

My rebate just got sent out today. I emailed them on friday about it. Finally 11/1/04! Postmarked in mid MAY, verified in mid September. I advise everyone to send a friendly email to them if you still havent received it.

Finally received my check today. It was dated 11/4/04. I mailed everything in on 4/2/04. That's over 7 months!

I'm never buying SOYO again!

For those of you who have not received the rebate, I suggest you call them or send e-mail immediately. I just came across an article that says that Soyo will be getting out of motherboard business. Since this rebate is for one of their motherboards, I think it would be best to get your money as soon as you can. This is the article:

Me neither haha, but I just sent a non-threatening and rather calm email stating that if they don't send it ASAP, the BBB will be hearing about this. I was told once you bring BBB into the picture, they get your rebate out fairly quickly 😀.

Wow....I was checking my rebate for $50 that I sent in last april or may on verifyrebate.com where it said it was accepted but as of last week it is gone!! I called and they want me to send in copies of everything. I have all but the UPC code. I cannot find my copy I made of it. Anyone have a photo or copy they can send me to help finalize this catastrophe from rebate hell?? Thanks.....

I got my $50 rebate that I applied for early last Oct yesterday. The $20 rebate is still in the pipeline.

Rebate fulfillment has moved to Calif, and the email inquiries are much more responsive as of late. I was sending a ding letter asking for rebate status once a week, every week, once I made it past 16 weeks.
