As of the first week of September, it had been 16 weeks since mailing my rebate submission (I keep track of the postmark dates), but still no rebate check or even an acknowledgement of it on the rebate status website. I emailed Soyo Rebate department on the 6th, received the following reply on the 10th:
Dear Valued Soyo Customer,

We are sorry for your inconvience. We are having technical difficulties
in our Rebate Dept. While we are trying to correct these problems, we
are asking our customers to please be patient with us during the
unfortunate setback. We assure you that your rebates will be processed
by October 1st. Thank you again for your patience.

At which point my thought was, "I'll never see that money."

Checked again today and found that two of my four Soyo rebate submissions are approved.
 
Well I got an email back saying im approved and it should be here in 2-3 weeks. I still don't show up on soyo's page. Surly they spelled my last name long.. it's german.

The thing is, I checked the status of this rebate on the 22nd and the information has changed since then. It was correct when I checked before, now it isn't.

The store was mWave.com and it was a $50.00 rebate on the SY-K7VME. I haven't purchased any SOYO products from Tiger Direct/Global/Dartek companies.

The other outstanding SOYO rebates I have are from the Micro Center SY-P4VGM deal. Time to send an email and see what's going on.

Well my rebate arrived and it is wrong. I think SOYO is out of cash, and is trying to short the rebate submitters their rightful rebate amounts.....time to fire off an email.....

I sent an email to Soyo Rebates on the 25th describing the problem and the rebate status info now reflects the correct promotion and rebate offer. Now if I could only get my CHECK!

My rebate shows approved but I called because of an address change. They had not sent the check but said it just caught them in time before it was sent out. Overall she was nice and helpful so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Nancy Chu or Shirley are two others that can help.

They're all nice people. Be curteous and don't call unless it's been 14 weeks from the Postmark Date above your name on the rebate form.

Since I'm the guy who started this thread, I thought I'd let you all know that I received my $50 rebate today -- a full 197 days since my orginial post. 🙁 Hopefully you will all get yours...


BTW, this board installed without a problem and is still running fine for me.

 
Still waiting on my rebate. My broad was quite problematic to set up, with sometimes things working and sometimes them not. I could never get it to work reliably using a videocard in the AGP slot and a LAN card in an IDE slot (onboard LAN doesn't work). I'm now using it as a temporary solution with the onboard video enabled but the LAN still won't work.

This board will be my first and last dealing with Soyo products.

I go here, main page, click on "Click to check the status of your rebate submission", then on the next page, click on "Click here if you did not register your rebate online." Fill in info.

still waiting on mine, they recieved it 23 May....they sent a wrong rebate for $20 bucks...so I sent it back...now they assure me it will be out to me in a couple of weeks
 
For those haven't received your rebate yet, email them. I ermailed them with the info that I submitted to them in the rebate. They replied back and confirmed that my rebate is vaild, and that the check should be mailed out in 2 weeks. Guess what..,, I received the check 2 days after the reply from them.

The point is, if you don't follow up with them, you won't get your rebate. I won't deal with these deceiving asian companies again, ever. Yes, I am asian myself.
