I called them 2 days ago, they said that they are supposed to get them in today. I should have asked how many, but I didn't.

When did you guys order your cards? I haven't gotten any e-mail from Aztek and I'm wondering if the order they are getting is limited.

Called again... to the 27th it goes....

He said he's going to contact PNY and try to get a confirmed ship date, he said he believes it's just a computer generated ETA that comes up when the item isn't shipped from PNY. He said he'd send out an email to everyone who has these on order. We'll see if he does.

I canceled, these guys suck.

They definitely suck, but it's still a great price, and since I'm in no particular hurry (I'm currently running a 9700 Pro), I'll keep waiting and hope for the best until I see a comparable price on the card.

yeah i would too, if i didn't need an upgrade so bad.

i wonder if they're waiting for a price drop so they can honor the prices and still sell their stuff.

on another note,

[rant mode] I can't stand not being able to understand people when I call customer service, I can't believe it's that hard to find someone who speaks english clearly. I mean come on, Its called customer service for christ sake, not 1-800-bablefish. If I lived in Iran and ordered something, I wouldn't expect to call customer service and get an american trying to speak Arabic...
I have nothing against any race or country or whatever, but if your business caters to the english speaking people, get some english speaking customer service for crying out loud. [/rant mode]

I hear ya in regard to your rant. I have never called Aztek, but they have been fairly responsive by e-mail.

At this point I too tend to wonder whether they're waiting for a price cut from PNY. I gotta say it seems ridiculous to me that both nVidia and ATi have announced and released products that they apparently have so little ability to produce in volume. It just seems silly. nVidia, in particular, could be owning the high-end market right now if they could just get their cards into stores in large numbers.

Well, I'm done waiting cuz I was able to get a employee hookup at CompUSA and got my card tonight for $339 incl. tax ($319 is cost) and am rocking it now. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Maybe I'll fleaBay the one from here if I don't cancel outright.

6800gt and 6800 have been available from various retailers in fairly large quantities for about a month now - best buy, compusa, fry's, newegg, evga.cam and various other online and offline stores have been selling them (but often running out of stock) for a while. Online you could get a gt immediatly for about 400-450. It's just that these small shady e-tailers that don't seem to get any stock, or that they play games like advertising a low price but never delivering an raising the price back up very quickly.

The 6800 Ultra is the hardest to find, but still much better than the non-existent x800xt (paper launched in may - availability expected in october according to rumors), and together with the fact the gt spanks the x800pro, I would say that nvidia does own the high end right now, as well as the 200-300 category with the 6800NU.

I called them friday 9/3 and asked what's going on.. Some guy I could barely understand said he thinks they will receive a shipment in about 3 weeks. When I said that other vendors and stores have been getting these cards back in for weeks he stuttered and said..well maybe next week.

I think this deal is truely dead. They must be holding off until everyone with an order in for $327 cancels, so they can make more money.

When I called he just said it comes and goes, but they will email me / call me when they get some.
They can't tell what position I am in the queue. Infact the guy didn't even know what queue meant. That word is on their website. If they don't know what it means they should put Waiting in Line or something.
