I love volleyball games but am going to have to pass on this one.

Oh dear me.

Is this a troll? This game is as harmless as sexuality gets. If I had a teenage kid that wanted it, I'd buy it. Much better that my kid would be at home getting his/her rocks off than banging those toothless crack smokers down the street.

As long as you've laid the right foundation all along with sex ed, what's to worry about?

God forbid your children show some signs of life and practice the natural phenomenon known as human sexuality. Let em rub one out in the bathroom, it's much better than dealing with 14 year olds getting pregnant or spreading/getting VD.

This kind notion that sex is dirty is one of the reasons kids go out and get other kids pregnant; they don't know WTF they are doing.

Rented DOA: XBV this week and once I got the control scheme straight (I *HATE* that you don't get a copy of game manuals when renting), I have gotten pretty hooked on it.

It's been seriously cutting into my MA playing time...so I'd say it's pretty well-done.

The volleyball is deeper than most people realize, but without being boring or draconian.

Ok, now who's trolling. I don't think sex is dirty and I seriously doubt not playing this game will lead to teen pregnancy. :Q However, I just don't think a game whose big selling point is jiggly boobies and skimpy swimsuits is appropriate for <16 years old. I have to take care of a 14 year old brother-in-law along with my infant son. My wife and I have already had the 'sex talk' with her little brother because he recently started dating. But there is still such a thing called "setting an example." Which means, you don't do the opposite of what you say.

I love playing beach volleyball games but this is one that I will not be picking up because of the above reasons.

I knwo that if you set the player's age below 17, DOAX gets toned down a bit....but that's easy enough to circumvent for a kid.

Are there any other content controls that can be set on DOAX?

BTW: Just curious....altho I do realize how how paradoxical content controls are in a game so obviously meant to be cheesecake as DOAX

Damn.

I really need to tell the ECE club to buy this game (our ECE common room has an XBOX). I don't think anybody will be going to classes after that!

Kami, thanks for the warning. ;)

That's what I've been hearing and it ticks me off too because I really love volleyball (I used to live five minutes from the beaches in Corpus Christi, TX and would play every chance I get). I'm just going to have to wait until Sega releases their volleyball game for the X-Box (or rent DOA Volleyball when the lil bro-in-law is gone).

Man, the best volleyball game was Super Spike Volleyball on the original NES. I used to kick ass with Billy and Jimmy! :)
