Well, we will see what they bill my cc with when I get it shipped. Tax or no right now it is $20 less than what it is priced out there right now.

That sucks! Have to wait an entire month to get mine! WTF!?

ETA: Since the rebate is only good for purchases made between March 1st-31st, does this mean I won't be able to get the rebate even if I placed the order today March 7th?

That ship date of 4/6 could be a little misleading. People at FW report the same date and their has already been released to the warehouse. Mine is still stating the 4/6 date! :( (I hope it changes to warehouse sooner! ;) )

I just bit on this one (the bait was too shiney).

$30 rebate, %10 AAA discount, Free Shipping, No Tax using the online chat with a sales rep thingie on the cart checkout page.

Last thing the rep said:

I guess I better return the one i bought from Best Buy. Sucks that I'll have to revert back to my radeon 9000 for a few days until my 9800 gets in but for a savings of almost $40, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make :)

LOL...Gateway shipped my order, gave me a working tracking number and changed the status to "Shipped" on their site. This morning, it's back to pending (and the card is on it's way, maybe delivered today)! :p

Maybe a 2 for 1 special! :p

When I called my order in last Sunday...I got a confirmation number but I never received an e-mail confirming my order/shipping date. I called Gateway the other day and the guy confirmed my order and said the shipping date was 3-15-04. At the Gateway site, I found a UPS tracking number (actually the same number is repeated 3 times...weird...maybe I'll get 3 cards:) using my telephone number. However, according to UPS...the tracking number(s) are invalid (weird again).

All I can say is...the CSRs on the telephone are GREAT, but Gateway needs to improve the information on their web-site AND their computer telephone service needs work (i.e., I reached "dead ends" 2 times in a row and was hung up on by their COMPUTER telephone service!!!).

Try them at Fedex. My numbers were listed as UPS but were actually FedEx numbers. :confused:

my ship date used to say 3/11, but now it says "not available"
i didnt get an email confirmation of anything other than when i placed the order. did this happen to anyone else?
