EDIT: Deal is now DEAD. Price is now $299.99 - $30.00 MIR = :(

Card at Gateway.com

Rebate link

Found and posted by 1Rebate at F@twallet (Thanks).

$219.95 - $30.00 MIR and Free shipping (Tax in some states...Kentucky did NOT have tax): $189.95. If you go through F@Twallet's F@tcash link, you should get 2.2% extra off of that.

THE NOSHIPPING Code appears on the <Enter Coupon> page. From memory, it was NOSHIPA (best to double check)!

People at F@twallet have mentioned that you can call this in and get a 10% AAA discount on this purchase....check FW for details....and YMMV! :)

Update

call edward @ 800-846-2036 # 51836 he will give 10% discount and free shipping to those who mention f@t wallet.

i just did the deal for 2

edward.gibson@gateway.com

Seems that you can get this card for $167.95 by doing the above (10% and free shipping). I'm sure Edward is going to be swamped.

(Quote from trader14 @ F@twallet)!

:)

Darrell's ext is 25674 and you can reach him at 1800 846 2042

He said you can also send him an email to get the deal...His email is

darrell.clausen@gateway.com

You can also try Darrell...but it's been reported that Darrell won't give free shipping and 10% off. YMMV

Why didn't you post the names and extention numbers of the csrs that will give you the 10%. Change the title to $167AR and people will jump in.

It seems (from FW) that if you call up (numbers above....YMMV on the CSR that answers) and order and tell them that you are an AAA member, you'll get a 10% additional discount. Some reps will let you also have free shipping (YMMV). That's an additional $22 off the price. However, it seems that a few CSR's are charging TAX even when the website does not charge tax on the same type of order....so it could be a wash.

I tried calling, as I placed the order via web, to get the 10% extra discount. I haven't spoken to anyone yet, so I sent an e-mail. Regardless, I would be getting it for $182 ish after F@tcash (2.2%) and my 1% credit card discount. We'll see.

Good Luck all! :)

EDIT: What is "AAA"

Not sure of the HL2 coupon.

AAA = Tripple A...American Automobile Association. FW reports that most CSR's don't ask for the AAA number and give you the 10%. Some CSR's require the number to get the 10%. YMMV.

Also note, some CSR's are giving the 10% simply mentioning F@twallet is where you heard this at. Again, YMMV.

Good Luck! :)

Seeing that this is an ATI retail card with full 3 year warranty definately got my interest. But, the CSR I talked to wouldn't give me the 10% discount without a AAA id#, he also said that state Tax would be applied, making this deal luke warm.

Since the next gen video cards are just around the corner, I'm gonna wait. The hot deals on the ATI 9800's & nVidia 5900's should become even hotter soon.

I spoke with a CSR and he told me you only get the AAA discount IF you purchase a PC from Gateway...otherwise, no 10% off. So for me in Michigan (add 6% sales tax), it comes out to ~$203 (or ~$198 IF I got the 2.2% rebate from f@twallet). So...not too hot for me at least.

Thanks for posting though:)

Anyone have a AAA number? :)

PM me

An old one will work. Here's my deal:
Got mine from TN. An old AAA card number will work evidently and I used online chat help to get the deal but could not combine no ship and AAA discount. No tax in TN though he said so the deal is:

$219.99
- 21.99 (10% for AAA)
+ 7.50 (S/H
-------
$205.50
- 30.00 (rebate)
-------
$175.50

Hope it ships! They said it will be here the 16th.

I just did my deal. Over ther phone they explain that there is tax everywhere. If you buy on the net no tax you have to claim on your taxes, ehat BS, neway. It was $219 - %10 AAA + NY tax --> $212 - $30 MIR = $182, good enough for me.
