deal dead. no more. 🙁

Yeah, it may be dead from those folks but I did a Pricewatch search on NSW 2003 on Thursday and came up with this company that sells through www.store.yahoo.com. It's $10, shipping is free. They are in California (Sunnyvale), so I paid CA tax of $0.83. The company is "Global Computer Supply Outlet Store", or so it says at the link. I got the disk two days later via US Mail (Saturday), and all was fine. Their packaging was unprofessional, but what the hey? Their resellerratings.com rating is terrible (about 2.50, and 4 or so reviews), but I figured how far wrong can I go buying a CD with my credit card? YMMV, but it worked perfectly for me. BTW, they didn't send me an email confirmation (and I could swear it said they would), and they didn't respond to my emails, but the disk came promptly and included a professional looking printout of the invoice.

Note : OEM original copies of most Norton Products now only include 90 days worth of free A/V definition updates, vs. the full year's worth of updates you used to get.

Since when, and how do you know this? I've never heard this before.

How can you tell how long the NAV Liveupdates subscription is (i.e. 1 year or 3 months)? I have an OEM disk of NSW 2003. How can I tell how long the NAV gets updates? Thanks.

When you install/register it, it shows the last day you get updates, ie hopefully a year from now. I've had to uninstall and delete etc, then reinstall a couple times and each time its a year from the new date.

Yes, but I think that if you installed already within the subscription period (and haven't reformatted), the subscription period continues to begin at the first date installed. Thanks. I guess I'll remove my NAV2001 (which still has a month or two of updates on the subscription) and install my NSW2003 and see how long I have updates. Since I'm going to NAV2003, it should ignore what's there now (I presume in the registry somewhere) and give me a new subscription start date.
