Can someone please update me on how paypal works? I submitted my order on newegg. Normally, I go through the checkout process and I am able to select a credit card to use through paypal. I was not asked for a credit card to use this time. Is my only option to link paypal to a checking account or can I still use a credit card somehow?

Add a credit card to your Paypal account. When you check out and select the Paypal option change your payment option from your checking account to credit card.

I just ordered an E8400, Corsair 650TX PSU, and that Zerotherm cpu coller and it said I was eleigble for the 15% cashback (won't get it until Jan 15th though) and i paid through my checking account (with my credit card as a backup source though.

The terms state no later than Dec 17th.

Thanks for the tip! I picked up 2 Samsung 1TB hard drives with this with a savings of $28.50. They'll be going into a NAS device I bought a few week ago!

I just ordered one of those 19" Acer LCD monitors that was in the member newsletter for today. The Promo code that dropped the price to $129.00 worked as did the P-P 15% discount. Only thing is that the rebate date is stated in PP's T&Cs is by Jan. 31. While the Egg states "two days". Anybody know which it is for sure? Anyway, I'm gonna grab a copy of Newegg's T&C for the offer so I can throw it up to them if they give me any grief.

.bh.

PS: I also got a small rebate from the M$ Live Search deal and I didn't even get to the Newegg item via Live Search... .bh.

Just ordered the Kingston HyperX USB Flash, thanks!

I4AT, probably end of the day, since that's the deadline for this deal.

I'm guessing when the 15% off banner is no longer showing when you check out. Last time, they ran this promotion that is what happened.

Well I went in for the entire system, around $1100 shipped, with about $85 worth of mail in rebates and the Paypal 15% which means probably around $50 max. It always takes them awhile to process the PayPal orders because they want to make sure your shipping to the Paypal confirmed address.

The deal is supposed to go thru the end of today OR when the funds that were set aside for it run out. When you go to checkout thru P-P, it says "your order is eligible for 15% rebate" or similar after you've logged into your P-P acct. I guess if that doesn't pop up, then it's over.

During checkout with PayPal, there is a section saying you are eligible for 15% cash back.

I made a purchase that said I was eligible but I never got any email confirmation saying that I had actually gotten the CB. Oh well....

Well, you'll have to hold Newegg responsible for it as they used the offer to induce you to buy. If you haven't retained a copy of the offer's Terms & Conditions, then go forth and protect yourself. I should have also printed the page on P-P where it said I was eligible, but I didn't - I do have the pages and terms from Newegg's site. Shame on me! The old adage "Trust, but verify!" Should be modified to "Trust, but gather evidence." when shopping online...

Shady deal... It might say that you are "eligible" during order, and there might still be time left till the deal is over, but they can simply tell you that "the funds have ran out" before you ordered, and you wont get a single penny back. Unless the order was made soon after the deal started I wouldn't bother, especially if you would not be ordering unless you got cash back. But hey, that's just me. ;) I suppose for those who would have bought something at full price anyway, there's simply nothing to lose.

Ordered something around 6pm EST and saw that paypal said my purchase was eligible for 15% back. We'll see what happens after Newegg fills the order and ships...or no later than 12/17.
