Oh well, I just made a purchase for Mom's first Digital Camera. Decided on the Panasonic TZ5 & an 8GB SD card for a total of $238.98 + shipping. Should be around $35 cashback from paypal if it goes through in time (8pm EST). I took a screen shot of the page where it said I was eligible so we'll see what happens.

I just dropped $300 yesterday. If I call up and ask for the discount will theygive it to me, or am I going to have to refuse delivery on the order and reorder?

Very doubtful they will give it to you, since its through Paypal. If you refuse and reorder, you'll pay the same since this was for 1 day only

If you refuse delivery, they will charge you a restocking fee, so you will be net negative on the deal. Terms & Conditions say that the PP rebate is not applicable to prior sales. You're stuck, sorry. You could always buy another and then try to resell the first one for what you have in it. Of course the deal may already be over if the funds have been used up.

Just ordered a GB mobo and Zerotherm cooler for $158 or so. The order went through without a problem. Saw a 15% off note on Paypal checkout page. However, now that I finished the ordering process, the order is not showing up either on Newegg site or Paypal; no email from any one including Live.com. What gives?

Me thinks the cogs are moving a bit slow on the busy Newegg/Paypal servers.....I only got my Live.com CB email so far......and still no Newegg email, which is usually very snappy!!

BTW: grabbed the 1tb Hitachi HDD for under $70 .

OK, I got the confirmation from Newegg, Paypal and Live.com - the Newegg/paypal wheels indeed moved very slowly. In any case, here is what I got and paid:

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard $114.99 - $17.25 (Paypal 15% off) - $3.16 (2.75% Live.com) - $15MIR = $79.58.
ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 120mm CPU Cooler $43.99 - $6.60 (Paypal 15% off) - $1.21 (2.75% Live.com) - $30MIR = $6.18.

They ran out of time before they could run out of money for the promotion. It was hard to get excited about more cheap ram, power supplies, and video cards when you know there will be other deals soon (and you have too much stuff already!).

15% off was ok, considering how much we buy there anyway. Bought a WD Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB late, at 1:30am est, and still got the paypal 15% banner while checking out.

this sucks. I really need a new graphics card and everything i tried wouldn't work. I was $7 short on my paypal balance but even with buyer credit/creditcards/checking accounts...i couldn't get a transaction to go through.

You'd think paypal would get their shit together after all these years.

My order has also been shipped and I have had no notice of tracking number yet. But often when my order can be shipped from their NJ warehouse (ChiefValue), I get the stuff before I get the tracking number in my email - looks like I might get it even before the tracking number is posted online this time...

Really? I have a CC attached to PP and the option to use it was right in the check-out......no problems.

Yup, you have to have either a bank account attached to your PP acct. or you have to attach a valid major credit or debit card. It takes a few days to attach a bank account because of the way they verify them, so in order to be ready for deals like this, you have to either have a bank acct. already attached or you can attach a major CC/DC (acceptable brands listed at PP) at time of purchase, or you have to keep enough balance at PP to cover your purchases. So, Mr. Master, it's a waste of our time to complain about your being unaware of PP's terms of service which are available for all to read.

I have 3 checking accounts linked with plenty of money in them. I have 5 credit cards linked, again all have available credit. I have paypal buyers credit that has a few hundred left in availability and it is setup as a business account.

So don't waste my time writing a paragraph in response to my complaints because you ASSumed wrong.

I signed into live first and then ordered through paypal. have to get that confirmation screen that you are signed into your live account and will be getting the 2.75% for purchases and opens up a newegg window for you. Then shop and during checkout; newegg shows a notice of being elegible for the 15% cashback during checkout through paypal.

I got my live confirmation a little after my purchase and payment confirmations from newegg & paypal; but no 15% back confirmations yet. will have to wait and see.

EDIT: weird, status of my order only shows that it has been charged. Usually when i order early in the morning it will show shipped and have tracking by the end of the day. must be really busy
