I was planning on placing an order from newegg, today. Now I get it for 15% cheaper, thanks to your notification. I guess it pays to surf anandtech!

Let's just hope my order isn't delayed because I used paypal instead of a credit card. Does UPS deliver on Saturday? I need it by then--or, if they don't deliver on Saturday, then I need it by Friday. That means it can ship no later than Tuesday. Will paypal hold up processing? Time will tell, I suppose. For $29, though, it's worth the risk.

For those asking, all you had to do was choose paypal as the payment option and it automagically said the purchase was eligible for 15% back.

Is there any notification during checkout process confirming that product is eligible and funds still remain for Paypal promotion?

 
Thanks OP -- in for the Sapphire 4870 for $150 after rebate. Was going to get a EVGA 260 but I couldn't pass up that price.

mshan -- when newegg took me to paypal, it said on the summary screen that my order was valid for the 15% back promotion. It'll tell you before you have to commit.

Do you get an email or something? I checked out and it said it was eligible, but it never said the dollar amount or sent me an email.
 
No, it doesn't say anywhere on the emailed receipts from Paypal or Newegg -- only the order summary in Paypal before you submit. I guess I'll know by the 17th if I actually get a credit to my Paypal account.
 
Can someone please update me on how paypal works? I submitted my order on newegg. Normally, I go through the checkout process and I am able to select a credit card to use through paypal. I was not asked for a credit card to use this time. Is my only option to link paypal to a checking account or can I still use a credit card somehow?
 
when checking out, click on "save 15% with paypal" button.. sign into paypal..click change funding source, click credit card you want. click ok, then click sumbit,

Add a credit card to your Paypal account. When you check out and select the Paypal option change your payment option from your checking account to credit card.
