I didn't get charged shipping either. As for the rebate, yes, clearly indicate to them that the rebate goes through Maxtor clearing house. Someone pointed out the exact rebate center above (thanks btw, saved me another $20 upfront :) ), and I made sure to note it to the CSR. They were insisting the rebate was fulfilled by Staples and that the Maxtor rebate had nothing to do with their rebate. Then I copied and pasted the address and fulfilling dept. from both the Maxtor rebate and their rebate and all was good :D

Edit : Well, it may work, but for PMing purposes you don't it to work so you can get the full rebate up front without the hassle of trying to get this rebate. Their take on it is they will match you $20 less b/c they have a competing rebate, which in reality they don't.

Yeah I didn't get charged shipping either.

Ugh, my final total was $80.34. Don't tell me that I paid the most here :)

They didn't do 110% PM, I didn't know they did so I didn't ask. And then... I don't know where the rest of the S&H and tax comes from, but I'm just happy I'm getting my drive. I just got my tracking number and mines due to be at my doorstep on the 22nd *sigh*

Well i ordered 2 dirves last night. one at 90$ other at 70$ (this took like 10 tries to get it) I got the 90$ one 2day, but refused the package... I called for the statues of the 70$ one, and its on the way for 2morrow. i got the 70$ one like 4 hrs after i ordered the 1st one, so i know they are coming :)

Just got off the phone getting the shipping taken off my order! Used my logic that they could not fault :) (that comp usa was a local store, so they shouldn't be adding shipping).

Had to call twice, first guy gave me the run around about taking the shipping off, called again, the lady was much nicer and very helpful. Final price, 70.82 :)

I just received the drive today. The guy was here right at 9:00am! Talk about awesome eh? :p Anyways I can confirm that the warranty is indeed 3 years. Mine expires January 2006! So if anyones hesitating because of this, hope thats cleared now :)

used a $30.00 off and said I had another one that came to my sister for $10.00 off and asked if i could use it also.. she said lets see what happens.. it took it!!

so i got $40.00 off.

i think the Staples delivery guy read my "joke" (read post above) about getting the rubber bands first...
a very light little box was delivered this morning at work and my co-worker who received it
was like...DUDE! you got RUBBERBANDS? :eek:

My first orders have Shipped!:cool: And I did receive a phone call this Morning on the order I placed last night with the pending shipping By my lovely supervisor and was Quoted $9.10 for (2)day shipping : OK, So I take a look at there PM Policy this is what I found...........:D Were's my 10% on the Pm and Shipping?:disgust:
So it goes like this:.......

My first orders without shipping :

$99.99: + 2.93 goodie: Subtotal: $102.92: -$30 coupon: +$5.16 Tax: Total $78.08 .....This does not reflect my 110% PM , This is only 100%
So I call Order Relations bring it to there attention quote there PM policy and they give me the Proper other 10% PM diffrence including Tax for a total of( $10.70) Credit to my lovely Debit Card...........
For a new total of $67.38 Shipped:Q:D *Nice*

My order last night with Shipping added:

$99.99: + .25 goodie :Subtotal $100.24 : -$30 coupon =$70.24 + Shipping $9.10: + $5.16Tax= Total of $84.50
So I call Order relations and got My Pm stated 10% reflection including shipping $99.99+$9.10+$5.16=$114.25.....(-10%= $11.42)
For a new Total of $72.83 shipped::Q:D

Staples would have been better off leaving Well enough alone :):);)

So shipping does not mean any thing at this POINT , The FULL PM POLICY STATED 110% PM Does:confused:

I was Credited back the 10% on all my orders which should reflect any shipping added and Tax!!!!!!!!!

So call and get your 10% price credit, they have to give it to you ,just say youve been going through there Pm policy and it states just that....

Ah, no, you didn't pay the most. I paid $95.## for mine without using any coupons. I'm quite happy because that's better than the CompUSelessA price after their $30 mail-in rebate.

damn wje, did you try to apply some other coupons afterwards? they refused to take the codes I pulled from plump moneyclip, but I had a 12 digit $30 off 150 they let me apply (pre-pm price). The guy actually told me they were not taking big loot codes anymore b/c of their widespread availability on the internet lol. So I go to order status, and guess what I see as the coupon code? You guessed it....5-digit robust billfold code. So that corporate denial crap is BS, the code ends up as 5-digits regardless, just the website won't take it and they are red flagging it if you try it through a phone call. As people have noted, may take some effort, but those codes are in fact still good.

you should try and find a $30 off $150 12 digit or a $15 off $100 12 digit and try to apply that. There may be a few goin for free or heat over in FS/FT.

Ask for a suprivisor like I did last night and tell them your aware of there problem but you know throw your corparate friends that the code is still *VALID* 11/30/02..
I also found that after regular Buisness Hours is the best to deal I made all my Orders after Hours............:)

Well, I tried calling it in via the 1-800 #. The guy on the other end said that they had to charge $18.00 shipping. He wouldnt budge. I ask to speak with a supervisor and *click*, I am disconnected. I hope they recorded that call and that b@$t@rd gets fired

I tried again, got a different CSR, and I got the $99.99 PM but they charged $5 for shipping and he said I could not apply any coupons/and no MIR's would be availible with this purchase because I did not buy online (Even though the online checkout told me to call 1800-3staple to redeem the coupon code) What a bunch of BS.

Not even Jason, my chat CSR, would let me pricematch online and use my staples card with $30 off $100 coupon

I was lucky to get on this deal early.. i got my Drive today.. and to my suprise no MIR... wow what a suprise.. so i call back today.. talk to a customer service agent and they credit me 35.00.... i guess she forgot the whole 10% of the difference thing.. neways.. kick ass deal.. thinking of sending away for the 20.... chances ill get that one....
original deal... came to $108.45
after a phone call $73.45
and hopefully if the $20 comes in... $53.45.. not bad at all..
