Looks like they removed the lower-end IPAQs from the MHEC (Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium) list - which seems to be about 90% of the schools in the state!
the MHEC just lets you purchase for that specific contract - even if your school is in the MHEC, you still qualify minimum for the national educational discount, and possibly for other contracts as well. Although the MHEC price was the lower price. However, most of the time you'll save more money by shopping around for a PPC than you will going through hp even with the educational discount. the 2210 is the only real exception because they cut the price absurdly; in general you'll only save a few dollars.
Anyways, even though you may be out the $267 deal at this point, the $293 deal is still good if you choose the National Educational discount instead of the MHEC after you click your state. Still not a bad deal, assuming they don't kill you on shipping and such.

For thos of you waiting on your new toy... I spoke with an HP rep the other day as to why I havnt recieved any more information. She said they have been flooded with orders and the office that ships these out are waiting for them to come in from another office at HP. She also said that orders placed within the past week should be processed by Monday.
Ordered yesterday. Got a tracking number today, paid $297 plus tax and shipping. Still a great deal on a new pda with all the features that goes for $399.
well great.... so you know how they had to manually go through each order for the h2210 and rebook them? well... apparently HP booked me TWICE. I got two seperate confirmation e-mails with slightly different looking shipping addresses (although both are similar enough to be known as the same). It was obvious that is was done by two seperate people. Checked my credit card activity and apparently they billed me twice also. Well... I paid $267 with tax (living in CA has it's tolls...), $289.03 total... so I guess I'm getting two of them at that price...

Yep...I ordered again yesterday and got my confirmation within hours. It supposedly shipped today. If the first order ever shows up, I'll just sell that one.

I had the 267 price too, shipping to NJ. Yesterday they told me to reorder (woman told me to order from www.mystore.compaq.com , but i dont have a pin number, or know what that even means), but today they told me to call back tomorrow and they will probably have a tracking number for me (yeah right!). We'll see what happens.

just called HP, and the salesperson told me that a lot of orders didn't make it from the previous department to the correct one. He cancelled the old order and took a new one, at the same price, and it should be shipped soon. To everyone that still has a pending order, I'd recommend calling HP (I don't know if I'm supposed to post the number, so PM me if you'd like) and asking about your order. Good luck!
Well...I had no luck calling. They kept telling me it would be a few more days. I suggest placing a NEW order on the site. My order from Monday shipped already, but my order from 2 weeks ago is in limbo. Then if they ship two you can return one or sell it. I really think that the missing orders will never ship.

Order was in 2 days ago (after ordering last tuesday on the web i reordered on the phone) Got zapped for tax, no shipping, grand total is about 283.02 (give or take a penny, heh, um anyhow) Should arrive tommarow.
JUST FYI from the reviews I have read this should work with most of the old 3835 hardware, keyboards etc. I am hoping it works with my gps from radioshack (50.00, some still have it, the digitraveler) and my 19.00 Micro Innovations keyboard (from office depot)

BTW (and I know I could get flamed for this) I am a fatwalleter, and have saved MANY times from them, I origionaly heard of this deal through them. I do agree alot of them buy in bulk and kill the deals, but alot also just buy one item. I kinda feel bad ordering on these sweet deals to begin with, and would never think of getting 2 unless I had a legit use (such as running a beowolf cluster off of these....hum... WOAH, that would be interesting.........)

great... so i really did get 2... i got my tracking info today for both of them... two different packages from Indianapolis, IN via UPS Ground. I don't really wanna go through the hassle of selling or especially returning the extra... I wonder if I should call and give 'em a hard time for giving me a hard time...

Dude, please be humble about being in Silicon valley. My friends out here are looking for jobs for quite some time now.
