That's a hot price for a NAS box, let alone one that holds 4 drives and has two more eSATA ports! Heck, a 4 drive Chenbro mini ITX case costs more than this!

I'd totally get one if:

1) It was a full PC (only missing what, VGA port?)

2) It had a second network port

3) It was a bit more power efficient

EDIT:

4) I can roll my own OS

Load sharing would be my guess. One in, and one out.
Or I guess each would have their own IP so I guess you could do more with that?

If only I didn't already have 4 NAS's. I wish this was out before I picked up my last one, this looks like a better option.

Switches make direct connections between ports, so two ports and you could have two clients each getting the full gigabit bandwidth.

Very nice looking box, but I am still twisting on the full PC vs NAS vs Media PC hooked up the home theater system.

For what it's worth, a Newegg email today shows what looks to be this server as being a Shell Shocker the end of the week, so the price may go down a bit then.

I hope it's not gonna be much cheaper than 170 when it's on shell shocker... Just bought it yesterday...

Pretty sure you can. There's bunches of people that have taken this or the Fujitsu rebadge (which runs WHS), and added a VGA riser to do setup.
