Just a followup to my LCD screen repair. I sent the T23 in Wednesday, they received it Thursday morning (4:30am). They sent it back to me the same day (Thursday) at 1:46pm. Only problem is Airborne lost the thing! I called airborne and they said they are trying to find it! uggg, just my luck!

sorry about your luck with this laptop hp660c... on a lighter note:

BUMP! This deal is alive again!

I can vouch for the quality of this laptop. Although I haven't tried out it's WiFi capabilites, I love all of it's little features. Even the durability of its keyboard. I know I type pretty hard and other keyboards take a beating. Plus it plays a full movie (Back to the Future: Part II to be exact) without it dying on me. Better get on this deal before it dies again!!!

If you check your order status after ordering, it says order cancelled... looks like it could be a mistake, and their inventory system is cancelling orders maybe?

I got my Kahlon 512 RAM in the mail yesterday. Installed it in 1 minute and tested it out. Works perfect, 768 baby!
Oh and over the weekend I TANNED out by the pool for hours, surfing away with the computer sitting on the table under the umbrella, playing tunes and all! That spare battery I got for $36 off Ebay comes in handy!
IBM ROCKS!

No sour grapes, but...........

I'm tired of hearing posts that should be in B and M, not hot deals. I want to hear where else I can get a deal like this that's not OOS.....:( :)

Yah right no sour grapes! LOL You were thinking and thinking about jumpin in on this deal when you had the chance and obviously you didn't!
Anyone know how much longer the 4000 Mah battery this comes with lasts compared to a 3600 Mah that is probably from an older T series?

about 9-10%.....a 7200Mah battery would be exactly double the life (but they don't make such a battery).

You can buy a T30 battery online for about $85 new (non-ebay). They're 4400Mah.....even more life.

I work with IBM's all day long....we only buy T30 replacement batteries for our older T series.....

But if I get 2 - 3600 Mah for only $30-$35 each, that is alot more power per $ than buying only one 4400 Mah. As long as I don't mind having to swap out the batteries. I haven't tried it yet, do you have to turn the computer off to swap batteries? That would be SWEET to be able to 'hot swap' batteries real quick in like 20 seconds?!

No hot swap for the battery unfortunately. No AC, no battery, no power...

Just hibernate and switch dude. Fn->F12. It's not exactly instant but it doesn't require a reboot either.

Can you give a source for these batteries?

Also, before this interesting thread does die, is there another forum to discuss these laptops? Mine has yet to be turned on (if you can believe that), and I'm trying to document all the info that's been bounced back & forth here, like software upgrades, etc.

And thanks for this great deal!

It ain't exactly a forum, but when it comes to Thinkpads, this is the place to be:
