Glad to hear there is no roaming charge, next time around I'll be press that #1 button, heh.

On a side note, I lowered the cost of my A900 cell phone from $199 to $99. Please note that I got the phone and service directly from Sprint, I did not order through Iphonic.

Basically I called retentions deperatment. Stating that I had recently signed up and had 3 days left out of the 14 to cancel.
"The reason for my call is that BB is offering the A900 $100 less than what I initially purchased for." I said I was willing to cancel the service and resubscribe just so I could get the phone for $100 less. I then asked if he could do anything for me or did I have to cancel to get it $100 cheaper. I also quietly mentioned that perhaps he could give me credit on my account in that amount, and I would be willing to not cancel. He agreed and the rest was history! 2 mins later I had a $100 credit on my account.

Remember I bought the phone directly from Sprint, so I dunno if this would work for you. Perhaps they make money on the phone as well, and thus didn't want me to buy it somewhere else. Also I dunno how many CSR's would go for it, so maybe try a few times.

PS> BB is selling the A900 for $199 just as Sprint, and most importantly you can't get the SERO plan from them. I straight up lied......lol. I would feel bad, but wireless companies have been f*cking me since the first day I got a cell, so it's my turn now. Plus compared to some other stunts people pull to get things, I think I'm ok.

GOOD LUCK!

That's incredible, I just did the exact thing to the letter!!! (took me a few tries though)

Sounds like the auto body repair outfit that I saw in NYC use a 2x4 to partly fill a hole in the wrecked rear quarter panel of a Lincoln Mark...
then they filled the rest with Bondo, smoothed it out and painted...:thumbsdown:
But then, I'm being judgemental.

OK, I just read the majority of this thread and didn't see this question answered.

Is it possible to change to this plan as an existing Sprint customer if you have a legit referral e-mail? I'm just about to sign up on Sprint with an A900 or A920 but planned to get it on EBay for dirt cheap. Any chance I could call in after with a legit e-mail and switch from the crappy $36/month plan to this?

basically what I'm asking is, has anyone tried this/heard of this working
Thanks guys

I looked for A900 or A920 on fleabay & they were about $280 - $380, respectively...hardly dirt cheap.
But, count me in on "dirt-cheap"! :D:D:D

People seem to have luck, but it's a headache getting to switch to the plan via retentions, especially if you are under contract. If you are out of contract your only issue is keeping your cell phone number.

The normal plan is for non-existing Sprint customers to become new Sprint customers. People have had luck, but it's not going to be easy :)

I see. I guess I might as well give it a try after I get my new contract, but I would rather have a nice phone for $20 than have the nifty data access.

RideFree, this is what I am referring to.

The offered phones seem to change on a regular basis, but the plan offer is good until end of June so keep checking it every so often if you want a free one.

Went in to my local Sprint store tonite, but got Idiot Girl who did not know what SERO meant and only seemed capable of selling me the Fair and Flexible Plan. "Oh the plans are the same nationwide" BS! "Nothing will change now that sprint bought Alamosa"

I walked out in disgust. I have an old crappy Samsung and would like to upgrade to a Treo 650. We currently pay $75+ a month for 2 phones sharing 1000 minutes with 100 text messages included but no web or data.

Any suggestions?

NO sprint.com/SERO still says "We're sorry, this is offer is not available in your area." Which is why I am asking for help.

Alright, to those who already have your plan/phone, get ready to kiss my feet and love your phone/service more than you ever thought it was humanly possible. I present to you WWW.ORB.COM. It is a PC based software, which you access through your phone. What does it do you ask? Well YOU CAN LISTEN/WATCH ANYTHING THAT IS ON YOUR GOD DAMN COMPUTER!!!

Holy ****** this has to be the coolest thing for a phone. I made a login, downloaded it on my comp, took 5 mins to set it up. Went on my Sprint A900, went to www.orb.com, logged in with that same account.................I CAN LISTEN TO MY WHOLE ARTIST/SONG COLLECTION, OVER 1000 SONGS, at my fingers tips!!! If you have a fucken TV Tuner on your computer, GET READY TO WATCH EVERY CHANNEL THAT YOU COULD WATCH ON YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE. I don't need to carry my Ipod anymore, I can access all my music that's on the computer, through the phone. Again you can listen to ALL of your MP3's, if you have a TV Tuner you can watch ****** load of TV Channels, if you have pictures - you can look at them at any time, if you have video's - you can watch them at any time. ******, download some porn and watch on your PHONE AT ANY TIME. WoW if you have not noticed, I'm a bit excited! Sorry for the cussing, but again - excited. If you get this, you will understand. It is like remote access between computers, but now for your phone!!! ahaha i love it

PS. The song quality is just as good if not better how my IPod plays them. Obviously because of phone screen size, the TV and picture viewing is not the same as on your TV/Comp, though the sound comes in cristal clear.....

Kiss my ass later!

BTW, if anyone is interested in some nice FREE ringtones (MP3) for their new A900/whatever go here, that is how I stumbled onto this ORB thing.

Did you email the seller and ask if you could use a SERO plan?

With this plan, can you connect your phone to the laptop via bluetooth and get wireless web that way? Or does sprint hack the phones like verizon does? Thanks.

Also, whats the difference between power vision and pcs visoin? Any sprint employees here willing to help me sign up for this? :)
