Yes I'm pulling at strings. But this is the first group of people I've ever seen that prefers cats to dogs. Maybe we should make a poll :D Editted. I made a poll at Dog vs Cat Poll Notice I prefaced the statement with "most". I couldn't say "all" because I know for sure of one person who hates being inside (myself).

It was a dead cat and someone put a free kitty sign next to it.

Hmm can;t find a link but I remember it was there.

Keep in mind that cats in the wild hunt alone or with their mate where as dogs form a pack.
Domesticated cats are not like wild cats (same for dogs). Thousands of years of selective breeding have bred out most of the unsociable traits of wild cats.

My two cats are littermates. They're sisters and best buddies. One of my cats has a tumor and I'm afraid if that one dies, the other will die soon after.:(

No because you can't keep cats off keyboards. :) I came home and my down-stairs room mate's cat had slept on my calculator shortcut and opened about 3 million MS calculators! I do like cats more than dogs (Even though I no longer have one and my dog sleeps in my bed... Usually under the covers).

Yes, I'm a cat and dog lover. <--- This couldn't sound any worse could it? ;P You sick-o's. I let my dog sleep in the bed because she refuses to sleep elsewhere.

Yeah, I dunno if I'll ever be able to get an LCD. My cat loves sleeping on the monitor, keeps his belly warm.

I think it is kinda hot. Cats may be cute and cuddly, but underneath their fuzzy exterior is possibly the most leathal killing machine designed by nature. We just think they are kinda wimpy compared to dogs because we can only keep the small ones around. I read once cats are seven times stronger than a dog of the same size. Plus they are faster, more agile, and have razor sharp claws that can rip through flesh like butter. Compared to the killing perfection in your typical feline, a dog is nothing more than a degenerate wolf.

Sure, a dog like a Rottweiler might be able to get the best of a small housecat. Try putting that dog up against something its own size like a cougar and see how long the dog lasts.

And we're not even getting into the really nice features of a cat, such as the fact that they are smart enough to tidy up their won feces and they are mostly self cleaning. Plus they are nice and warm and fuzzy. Their aloofness is a bit overstated, because my two cats will hop up on the couch with you the fist chance they get and one will even get under the covers and lay right next to my wife. That's just as much companionship as any dog will give you. Heck, one of mine will even fetch small bottle caps and sock hangers my wife throws across the room. What more could you want out of a pet?

Just stay away from the purebreds. Inbreeding only causes genetic weakness and it is a crime against nature and evolution in my opinion. People who spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to create a genetically crippled animal should almost be locked up. Mixed breed is where it is at, as they tend to be the sweetest, heathiest and smartest cats. All my cats have been mixed breed, and they've all been great pets.

conserning the grooming cats do to themselves. both my dogs do that, i have a German Shepard and a Yorkshire Terrier, both do it as much as any cat i have seen, it may not be common, but dogs to tidy themselves. My Shepard is part collie(we think, dont know for sure) and is incredibly intelligent, even for a shepard, Yorkie is Pure breed, some people gave to us, because they couldn't take care, it's a 500 dollar dog. I have heard that yorkies get Epilepsy and sh*t however when they are around 8-10, mine is only 2, don't know if it will happen to him, he already is a bit crazy tho

No... but you do realize that posting this crap will just bump the thread.

I was going to close the post with that but instead I thought "Oh the irony if someone were to point that out themselves!" ;)
