The resolution of your original image becomes almost a moot point with these people (bignose.com provides the prints), because the upload applet automatically applies jpeg compression. The file that gets printed ends up being terrible quality.

bignose.com also uses inkjet technology to make printouts, which still hasn't surpassed actual photographic processing.

After I saw my tiff image was reduced to a jpeg 1/10th the size of the original, I wasn't expecting much, and they didn't deliver much. (Keep in mind that I sell my pictures, so my print standards may be higher than others.)

Hmm... I submitted three prints ... All three of them black and white. Wonder how that will fare on their ink-jet printers.
I took one of the flatiron building, one of the chrystler building, and one of the empire state building.
The versions they have on file look clean ... I'm still waiting for my prints to see how the finished product looks.
Submitted my order on 3/25 and website says "In Production" so looks like I've got a while.

For those that have received their prints, when did you order?

Anyone else get theirs? I ordered on 3/25 and it's been sitting on "In Production" for days on end. They had no problem charging my credit card immediately though. Glad to see they've got their order of operations figured out.
