Mine has an estimated ship date of 11-11 to 11-13. This is on both my orders. One's in testing, and one's still "In Production". Anyone else with this? I'm sure they're just backed up with all these orders, but worth asking.

I just called to cancel my order on one of the two that i ordered, asked about the rebate(s); they (3-4 different reps) said it's an error and it's for only 1x $100 rebate. So i cancelled both....

All they like to do is transfer ppl around :(, i hate that. Last time i'll ever order a system from them (doubtful) im ready to sell off the 400SC and the Latitude systems...

The quality of parts and the service has gone wwwwwaaaaayyyyy down.... Looks like im back to building my own systems....

I have bad news according to my service rep. I got to the place where I was to confirm my order and called before doing so. The person I spoke to was very aware of the error and she said we difinitely will not receive both rebates. One only, absolutely. She said they were in the process of straightening the mistake out and would not honor it. I said what if they are both clearly shown on the packing details and she was very adamant that only one would be paid. I then asked what about the people who had placed an order expecting to get both and she said they were and would be in the process of contacting those people to let them know only one would be honored. She had absolutely NO Doubt about the rebate since many had been in contact and they had been hard at work with the issue. Maybe some who got in really early might get lucky enough to get them to let you keep shipped orders, but she sounded like abso danged lutely not under any circumstances. Please post if you receive any more info. Bekker

if that's the case, i just want mine to hurry up and ship! :) i printed out all the different rebate numbers, so if it ships soon maybe i'll luck out. if not... well i suppose 310+tax isn't so bad for what you're getting...

It is obvious this was a mistake, all you should have to do is just push it push it push and there is a good chance you will get it paid, you complain to Mr M. Dell, rebate forum, contact one of those lawyers doing the class action lawsuits after they deny your rebate.

For those who bought 2 systems: Is 2 rebates per address allowed? I thought it was "one rebate per address". Or are you just going to use a different address?

I ordered evening of 2nd and mine shipped as well. I would think if the Customer Service knew that both rebates would not be honored, they would hold all dimension 2400 systems from shipping and send out the notice first. As far as I am concerned, both rebates show up on my order so Dell owe's me $200. If that is not the case they should really tell me before they ship the system.

I just checked the Dell site and turns out that if you return a computer, you will have to pay the return shipping and they will credit you only the cost you paid less the shipping cost:

"We value our relationship with you and want to make sure that you're satisfied with your purchases. That's why we offer a "Total Satisfaction" return policy for most products that you-the end-user customer-purchase directly from Dell. Under this policy, you may return to Dell products that you purchased directly from Dell for a credit or a refund of the purchase price paid, less shipping and handling and applicable return fees as follows:"

Does this mean I should refuse the package from UPS?

If the mistake is there's they need to pay return shipping. I do not believe anything from CS, you will need to fight it, but you most likely will get it in the end. If anything else when you try to return it they will most likely cut you a deal to keep it...That is the luck I have had with Dell returns, they have made me good enough deals not to return it.
