just curious cant someone who doesnt live in a taxed state order it, and have it shipped to another address, let say to somewhere where someone would have to pay tax.

I'd imagine that would be possible, but it's not worth it for me to try it really, since I don't think I know anyone who lives in Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, etc. And even if I did, either driving there to pick it up (Texas is a big ass state 😛) or having it reshipped to my address here, would probably end up being somewhere around the original tax amount anyway.

Having a hard time finding tax rules on Dell's website. Which other states do not charge tax?

Ohio DOES charge tax.

So does TX, KY, NV, FL, CA, and WI...those were the only ones I could write/remember as the CSR rattled them off over the phone. I joked maybe it would be easier to tell me which ones they DON'T charge tax, but i heard the two I needed.

Or, you can simply look upwards about 3 posts for the complete list. 😉

So, we all know I can't read properly. 🙂

BTW, new low price. $634.15.

wow I just found out I can get the 2005FPW for $525. Need to order today though. Too bad I don't have the cash ahndy.

I called Dell Small Business on the phone and got one for $619 shipped. He said if I wanted two I could have them for $599. Sounds like calling up is the way to go for the best deal. I had never tried it before, but it was very easy. Good luck!
