its gonna take a few weeks for the rebate. for me personally it usually takes 4 weeks or so.

hehe, thats true. I just wish my rebate would show up online so that i would know that they received it. Did yours show up online at least? (as in received and not waiting for paperwork)

not yet. i sent mine out a bit over a week ago or so. checked earlier and it still says nothing about being received.

yup, i installed it earlier today. Unfortunately it does not allow 2x burns on the Ritek still. Oh well, maybe next time.

Oh brother! Just flashed to 1.21 a few weeks ago (day after I got it), now the question is do I update to 1.30?. What's everyone else going to do? I'm in that school (usually) of it it's not broken, don't fix it. All my Ritek 4x burn fast and play on all the DVD players I need them too - it woud suck to screw that up i'm thinking.

Quick heads up on the rebate, I called & checked, they apparently lost a bunch of rebates, I raised hell with Staples & got a GC (Parago lost 3 rebates, totaling $250) & Parago approved my rebate (they approved all 3) over the phone, but they say it'll take another 4 weeks to recieve the rebate.

The Cendyne drive kicks a**. I've been burning non-stop since I got it and not one coaster yet. DVD-R's work great in my sony DVD changer.

same here...ive even become proficient at converting some very high quality SVCD to DVD-R for my non SVCD enabled friends.

wow, prices have really jumped on these dvd-rs! The lowest price I can find now is ~$1.10/each. THat sucks! Hopefully it goes down some more, like say back to $75 + shipping for em!

I'm glad I bought 200 of them under $1 each. I bought 120 of the fuji's with jewel cases from OM and BB when they were right at $1 each . I wish that deal would come around again.

Did they check behind the fax machines underneath all of those forgotten faxes, or perhaps they filed them in the trash bin? Darn those rebate centers!
